...what type of specs a laptop would need to have to meet my criteria? On top of doing some downloading, media-editing, and web browsing, I'd also like to run games such as WoW, Sims 2, Guild Wars, and Civilization 4 (i'd like to run these at low-medium settings). I'm looking at some laptops in the price range of $500-700 (CAN) and here is the general gist of what I can afford: A laptop with a Core 2 duo processor (around 2.0 GHz), at least 250GB HDD, and 3-4 GB of RAM - the problem is that all of those laptops have integrated graphics cars [usually the Intel GMA (usually X3100) series]. I know that graphics card won't allow me to do any hardcore gaming on the laptop, but will it let me run the aforementioned smoothly? Also, I am only looking at laptops from TigerDirect, Best Buy, and Futureshop - is there anywhere else where I can buy gaming laptops that fit my price range (I live in Toronto, Canada)? I know I'm asking for a lot, but any help will suffice - thanks in advance!!!
I am looking into buying a laptop that has this as it's video card. I know this is integrated, but the laptop has 4GB of RAM so would using the card slow down my CPU drastically. Would anybody be able to tell me if I could run games such as WoW, Sims 2, Spore, and Civilization 4 smoothly on a laptop with this graphics card? I would hate to run these games on all low-setting so would I be able to run at least some of them at medium and have them still run smoothly? Thanks is advance!
