I'm thinking the High settings look better than the Very High settings. It looks to me that the Very High settings make the image look cloudy, & I noticed this cloudy look on the Demo which turned me off the hole thing. I only played the demo for a few minutes, which is sad because I've been looking forward to this since Generals came out. Anyone else want to comment on the graphics quality of this game. Oh yeah, & my PC can handle it, I've got a 8800 GTS & 2 GIG's of ram with a decent CPU.
These results are fudged, strait from Nvidia & MS. There is no way they scored that high with the gunk 100.54 Beta drivers that Nvidia held off until today to release. Ahahahah, this review is laughable.
Ok, were did gamespot find an X1950 card? & souldn't it be compared with a 7950 card, since there both top end cards. Can gamespot please fire there hardward testers, cause it's one debacle after another with them.
Actually, ksa8907 the new intel core2dual is based on the 775 socket design. If you want to get upset about chip designers switching socket design, look to your beloved AMD with there AM2 design. I do agree with core2dual being a stupid new, they should use something with a flashy X in the name. What do you think?
I love the XP backgrounds that they show, it looks like NES Super Mario Brothers. Plus the theme there using is windows 98. Did gamespot write this? Or is this strait from the horses mouth (microsoft I mean). Chess should have been included a long time ago, & there should be more then one pinball game. Actually, who really cares, I one play microsoft games when I'm really bored.
Reading this review shows how little thinking gamespot puts into hardware reviews. It wasn't that long ago that gamespot had some respectable reviews and info on hardware. It was around the time that the look of the website changed that the hardware reviews went down the toilet. I have on numerous occasions email the staff to ask that the take a serious look at hardware. I can not put this politely, you compared the new intel cpu's with a %#$*ing old amd cpu. Unforgivable. I know I'm so late on this review that nobody's actually going to read this, but i'm glad that most people are pointing this out. Also, I have read that AMD has very little up there sleeve, & that intel has the upper-hand on this war for the time being. I used to be a very big AMD fan but the prices are now too rich for my blood. Now I'm really not a intel fanboy, & I would like to see AMD come out with something comparable, so that the consumer will benefit through price. I can only say that it would have been nice too see this compared with an FX-62, or am AM2. Nice going gamespot hardware review, you really do suck.
