Well, for one, it is $55 not $60, and for two, the 360 controller costs about the same and you either need to keep buying batteries or buy a charger kit for it, and to get a fully functional Wii controller setup you'd need a $40 Wiimote and a $20 nunchuk, and that doesn't come with a rechargeable battery either. Controllers in general might be too expensive, but the DS3 is priced in line with every other wireless controller out there.rragnaar
Couple problems with the logic...
When you buy a 360, you get one fully functional rumble controller so in essence at most you need 3 more. While the ps3 came with a gimped rumble-less controller. So if you bought a second one early on, you're screwed byt having 2 controllers that dont' rumble. Plus you're paying $5 extra for nothing...because tilt control is worthless.
Also, give me the detachable rechargable battery pack any day. Having it built in means you'll eventually need to replace the entire controller once it develops a battery life on it. Mine already lasts for less time than it did when it came out.
