my ps3 recently broke, so i called sony repair and they said they will exchange my old 60gig ps3 for a new one, i never knew they swap ps3s or is this rare. but my main thing what about my hard drive should i take it out or not. because i got quite alot of stuff on their. thanksshadowkiller11
Yeah they swap em or at least thats what they did with mine, there is not much you can do about your hard drive because if you put it into a new system it will reformat it and erase everything anyway so just keep it were it is.
You can still get the stuff you downloaded from the PS store back because its linked to your online account.
hey everyone!! my ps3 is acting funny , when i turn it on i get the normal green light but just 1 second later it turns yellow then it beep 3 times and flashes red........... does anyone know what the problem is?? oo and can someone please give me the number 4 sony please..josekillz
[QUOTE="Mathews11"]I got back in touch with sony and another replacement is on the way (free of charge) but if this one packs up im just gonna give it up and go for the 80gb myloman44
Make sure you keep this one off the floor, laying flat, and in a well vented area. I swear atleast 70% of these Playstation problems are brought on by the user of the system.

I recently had the 'YLOD' on my old Ps3 and was sent a free reconditioned replacement 60gb, ive had it for less than 1 month and about five minutes after i turn it on it switches itself off flashes a red light and beeps 3 times.
I tried leaving it to cool down over night and even put a fan near it to keep cool when i had it on, but today it does the same thing and im starting to get frustrated.
It has been in an open space with nothing near it since i got it and i havnt been over doing the time i spend gaming on it.
Has this happened to anyone else and do you have any tips or am i looking at calling sony for Ps3 number 3?
