True Fantasy Live Online still stings:(GulliversTravelI remember that! The art style looked really good for it. For that matter what about the dragon ball Z Mmo that was suppose to be released?

And the world just keeps on turning.....
I kid I kid, it was a great system and if it wasn't for it console online gaming probably wouldn't have come as far as it has. On the same note maybe console local multiplay may not have died as much.... Hard to say but worth considering.
Name a game that became vaporware or has fallen off radar that you miss or wanna know more about!
The Highlander game would be mine, the idea of impaling yourself or setting yourself on fire to kill enemies sounded interesting and I thought it could bring about some very interesting destructible enviorments atleast, but it just kinda went up in smoke.
I just find it kinda interesting from a social standpoint, almost as if game devs are purposely being counter culture. I'm no fan of the twilight sparkly vampires but it seems as if devs are completely avoiding using vampires in any of their upcoming games to avoid being seen as falling in line with pop culture. Castlevania was released recently and of course featured vampires but it also hasa long history before all the vamp phenom. The last good game I can recall using them as a main character/villian this gen would have to be Monsters Probably stole my princess.
I don't know if anyone has brought this thought to light or not before me, but doesn't anyone find it a little funny that while other forms of media have become oversaturated with Vampires, Videogames in general have seemingly become saturated with Zombies. What I would consider to be the polar opposite of vampires in the general monster world.
Edit: It was brought to my attention that this particular thread should be placed in a general disscussion thread so to keep things in the spirit of SW's
If acurrent gen console were aVampire, Werewolf or Zombie which would it be and why?
I happen to think infamous had one of the best final bosses this gen. I remember starting the fight and getting manhandled, it took me a few tries to get my bearings but once I actually found a ryhthm I enjoyed it throughly.
I don't understand where you are going with this? Isn't the PS3 a system with just minor graphical improvements over the 360?[QUOTE="Mavrickkal"]Considering the required hardware improvements, would you be willing to shell out 600-650 for a new Xbox system with only minor graphical improvements over the PS3?Riverwolf007
And that's giving the benefit of the doubt that the PS3 really is better at gfx than the 360 is. Sure I think it has an edge but there are plenty of people here that don't.
The Xbox 360 hardware design flaws are becoming more widely known (Not refering to the RRoD). From Disc Capaicty Space to HDD issues. True the Ps3 is only minorly graphiclly superior to the 360 it's hardware and design is greatly superior. MS knows this and has begun taking steps to correct it (Redesigning the the Dash for example.). But not all the of the issues can be fixed through firmware updates. Plus with the 5 yr Console lifespan approaching MS could be considering announcing a new system. To Match PC gaming quality and keep up with the design specs of PS3. It would easily be priced at 600 bucks. Thats why I asked the question. The 360 is a great machine but I don't see it outlasting the 5 yr mark by much. Now also take into account how long it's been taking devs to put out games for this generation of consoles and many people seem to think they would just jump on a new console without any gripes, I seriously doubt it. Devs I believe would much rather sit with this gen of consoles longer and really push the machines to their limits before moving on. But like I said before because of the 360's hardware limits moving forward even now devs are starting to embrace the Ps3. MS only solution would be to release a new system in the next 2yrs in order to continue to beat sony, but considering the price of the system in order for it to include all of the ps3's features plus more and be graphically superior would put the system at a very high price which could very well backfire.
