@Everiez Do you mean like Tales of Graces, I Am Alive, Halo 4, Assassin's Creed 3, The Witcher 2, and Journey? All games that appear to have been pushed very hard by GameSpot this week. Perhaps you should pay attention, sir

Max Gentleman believes that Sony could use a bit of a rethink of its policies. Let's hope Kaz Hirai gives everything the kick in the arse that it so readily needs

@starcrafthenry agreed - Steam is a shining beacon of awesome. Imagine what could happen if Steam was the content distribution backbone for one of the consoles? Game Over.

Just to be clear on some of the speculation; one of these guys stepping out of the HARDWARE business doesn't necessarily take them out of the videogame race. Microsoft, particularly, are in a good position to set "Xbox" as a standard or a service rather than a specific box that you buy in a store. Sony are clearly experimenting with this notion already with PlayStation Certified.

It's odd that so many people use the opposite argument to vilify Angry Birds that they use vilify free to play games. To paraphrase; "There are free games that are so much better, it's the same as [insert Flash game name here]." Meanwhile, any time F2P or Flash games are discussed with any seriousness editorially, the argument is made that free games "suck."
