i have too many regular dvds to throw money away on rebuilding my collection on blu-ray.xmitchconnorx

I keep and watch my extensive regular DVD collection on my regular DVD player and watch the blu-ray movies I buy on the PS3, so I have no need of re-building my DVD collection. I only buy movies on blu-ray that I don't already own on reg DVD.

It would be a massive expense to replace my 200+ reg DVD collection..couldn't see the sense in re-buying stuff I already have.

So far, on blu-ray I've got

Gods and Generals

The Invasion

Rescue Dawn:)

I wouldn't dream of buying a frail, unstable, short lived xbox 360.

I bought a PS3 which I honestly didn't think I'd like that much, but after seeing all the things it can do and after having a friend who bought an xbox 360, say that my PS3 blew his xbox 360 away, I'm very happy I made the right decision.

With my 56" plasma hd tv the graphics are awesome. Way better than anything i've seen for puter and FAR more stable.

The instability of pc games, the patching, the constant upgrades drove me to it after 20 years of pc gaming.

I wouldn't dream of going back to pc, and I have a great gaming rig.

Asus M2N32 sli wireless deluxe mobo

AMD 6000+ dual core cpu

Nvidia 8800 Ultra 780mb video card

4Gb corsair ram

320 Gb seta hd

1000 watt power supply...and so on.

Just doesn't measure up to my PS3 and it's stability. I'm definately finished with pc.

3 simple reasons why:

  • More AAA games to choose from.
  • Easier to use--(Let me know when you don't encounter driver errors, .dll errors and display errors*Bioshock* You also have to keep your drivers up to date for optimal performance)
  • Its advancement in interactive 3D graphics over the past 10 years is more impressive. 1 & 2

Other than multiplats, how many visually amazing PC games can you think of that has set itself apart? HL2, Crysis and thats it.
Now for consoles, how many visually amazing games can you list for its time? Gears Of War, Lair( ), Heavenly Sword, GT5, Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5, Mass Effect, Fight Night 3, PGR.

Console gaming > PC gaming:)

If you're a casual, then yes, consoles are better. But if you want the freedom and excitment of building your own Rig, playing with Mouse and Keyboard, and experiencing titles like Starcraft, WiC, Crysis, Hellgate London, Spore, Source Mods, Mods in General, than console gaming stinks to high heaven in comparison. Listen, I have all the next gen consoles and a mid range PC, which I would choose over all three consoles in a heart beat.

Remember OP, PC Gaming will always be near and dear to millions and millions of gamers, as it's not a black and white issue, as many PC Gamers also enjoy console gaming too. As you grow up in life, you'll realize this, and laugh at your mentality of today.

I'm an avid gamer and have been since the days of pong.

I recently built a great gaming computer which will play any game on max settings with a smooth freme rate and all that, including Crysis, Bioshock, COD4, Mtw2, and so on.

Then, the other day I went out because I had some extra cash and bought a PS3 and a few games and movies.

As of now, I am spending less and less time gaming on my computer and am enjoying my PS3 much more than I enjoy PC games. Of course it helps because my PS3 is hooked up to a 56 inch plasma HD and a 7.1 surround sound system, but I don't think that's quite it.

The games for console just seem more polished. The controls seem tighter and more responsive with the exception of FPS's, but I like sports and racing games to and the console beats the PC at those types hands down. Just my opinion.

Toss up between Bioshock or Crysis. I say Bioshock because the gameplay is so dull let alone story made absolutly no sense, however I love the quotes and environments. I included Crysis cause I expcted alot not only from visuals but for gameplay and the gamepaly felt as if I played it already let alone the optimization was very poor to enjoy the visuals.

On the side note Im dissapointed with the Xbox 360 and thus far will always be a dissapointmentuntil they fix the rrod issue. From now on the xbox 360 will be label as the xbox3sh***y. I WANT TO PLAY PERFECT DARK ZERO!

OoSuperMarioO

What?

Crysis runs smooth and flawless on my rig at the highest settings.

Nothing wrong with the game at all, you jus need an upgrade or two.

Bioshock is great! I love the campy story and atmosphere...great game, cool original concept.

COD 4 is my biggest disappointment. I beat the singleplay in 3.5 hours only to get online and have my butt handed to me on a platter by aimbotters and such. Last time I'll ever play anything online again, and the last COD I'll ever buy.

Scripted rail shooters with never ending spawning enimies sux. (Graphics were cool though, just not utilized properly.)
