Every metal gear game past MGS1 was a convoluted mess to the point I can't overlook it for the great gameplay. I find zelda games to be boring. I can't stand Halo games. I didn't mind the end of mass effect 3. Incdredibly hard games don't make for good games instantly. Call of duty games get a ridiculously hard time be elitist gamers just because it's enjoyed by the masses and FPS games used to be for hardcore gamers. (get over it) Final Fantasy 13 was fun This generation of games has focussed too much on FPS
I have both but spend most of my time on the ps3. Thinking of selling my xbox, for multi platform games they are the same so I'm not a fanboy I just much much prefer the exclusives the ps3 brings. Ratchet and clank, sly, god of war, heavy rain, little big planet, mgs4, etc. I hardly like any xbox exclusives (apart from the gears of war series)
I'm a big fan of the series but was not a fan of chains of olympus but thought Ghost of Sparta was excellent, so all in all the collection is worth it especially as it's on sale right now.

I agree with you, apart from the 'lackluster' example comment. It's certainly a beautiful game - not my cup of tea, but some scenes are incredible in both detail and magnitude. I wouldn't say it's the best looking though. I think it's still incredible how a much older game - MGS4 - is still absolutely incredible looking. I personally think GOW 3 looks far better than MGS4, something about the style of metal gear didn't quite click with me. The cutscenes (of which there were maaaaaaaany) were pretty stunning but the in game models didn't fully click with me. GOW 3 did. Each to their own though
During the flashback when he was a kid and he had athsma, then I definitely knew when he called him Scotty. Shouted at the tv haha, never thought in a million years it was him. I thought it could be absolutely anyone else. Well done quantic dream
