do you have the 24p option on ? if you do turn it off. And HDCP on the PS3 is on at all times, so its not likely thats the problem.

GTSaiyanjin2

how do i turn that option off?

I'm not at my PS3 atm, but they should be in BD/DVD options, and by any chance is the monitor connected via HDMI ? And have you tried any other display like an HDTV or another monitor see if the same problem occurs ?

Hi there, I actually got it working and yes it was in the BD/DVD options. I just changed it to Automatic and voila! it worked. Thanks a lot peopel.

All right so I connected my ps3 to my pc monitor and everything is working fine, I can play games, watch videos. I can even watch my old Miami Vice dvds but everytime i try to play a blu-ray, it gives me this message:

"Current Timing not suported by Monitor Display. Please change input timing to 1920x1080@60Hz Blah Blah" So i don't know what to do now. i mean my monitor is already at 1920x1080 @ 60 hertz. I mean is there something i am not doing properly? I even tried to lower my ps3's resolution from 1080 to 720 but still the same message. Anybody know anything about it?

If you bought the best buy branded supcom (one with free game download) they seem to have a problem with burning discs properly. So you can either

A. Patch up to the latest supcom patch which doesn't require the cd to play or

B. Return the game to best buy for a replacement so you can get two free games (what I did)

OMG!!! IT WORKED!!!...Really Thanks a Bunch. I feel so stupid for not thinking of patching up the game.

Ahh..I see. Let me try Option A. See what happens otherwise i'll try Option B. Though Thanks a bunch for your advice.
