Once again, I see that many people still underestimate Nintendo. The reason why I think will outperform it's competition (though not by as big a margin as the previous generation's console equivalents) is because the PS4 and the Xbox One are still competing for the exact same market, and as such the sales will most likely be split evenly among them. That, and the Wii U's 1st party 2014 lineup will probably move a tremendous amount of units.
I think I see a decline in Nintendo game LPs in the future. I can understand why they made this decision, but I don't think they thought it through. Less people are going to make LPs featuring these games, so it'll make this moot anyway. Still, if Nintendo catches on, I think they'll back off and let their PR repair the damage.
Now that the "always-online" debacle is put to rest, now we can hope that the NextBox will have backwards-compatibility of some sort. And if not, that it can at least recognize an older game you have in your disc drive, acknowledge that you own it, and allow you to stream it for free, just like I think Sony might come out and say about the PS4 at E3 as well. Just a hunch.
@demondogx Chances are, they might if they're behaving like that. Still, not all CEOs are evil; I work directly under the owner of where I work, and he's a fantastic guy to be around. And most CEOs want their companies to succeed to see the cash flow continue to roll in, not run it into the ground for one large lump sum that can be taxed into oblivion.
@megakick They aren't; the entirety of their presentations will be devoted completely to new software. Chances are, everything you asked for is already well into production, save the new 3DS.
