@Rufus_the_rat: I doubt 2020 as the game will be issued in episodes. I know building the first game from the ground up takes the longest, but I can see the game being released end of 2018. If 2020 does happen the potential of all episodes being released would probably take the series to 2026; by that time the game would just be another fart in the wind. This is just my opinion though!
@silv3rst0rm: I didn't finish the expansions either. I will probably take a run back after the patch too. Would like to check out all the visual upgrades after the patch.
@videogameninja: When I seen the personal goal was 10 million I was really blown away. Not many games hit that mile stone, to my knowledge anyways. The only game I can recall off my head is Skyrim; not sure if Destiny hit 10 million, but I think that game did too with all its multiplatform releases.
@silv3rst0rm: I agree, but I guess the extra cost is possibly going to more staffing needed. Games are bigger, contain more detail, much more dialog than previous generation games. This is just a complete guess anyways on my part. The cost of developing games seems crazy. I remember originally reading that Destiny had a budget of 500 million, I am guessing that was due to so many ports.
I remember watching a lot of the first impressions on this game from Gamespot. A lot of what was said in the beginning did not seem positive at all, was surprised by the score.
I had this game pre-ordered forever. It finally arrived, but I am travelling for work. Can't wait to play this. Looks like a good game to sink some time in over the holidays. Happy gaming everyone! Some great releases over the last couple of months!
