@bizuit @SlimeSwayze @COPMAN221ISBACK Even being little boxes, they are distracting and the area could be used for more important stuff instead of those ads. They could have more of the stuff you own available to you without having to go through extra menus just so they can put ads in your face.

@white_wind They either will keep it the same or only increase it by like $10.

This drought of Nintendo software has occurred with EVERY Nintendo home console release since N64, both at the beginning of the console's life and the end. It's ridiculous.

@Aryck1095 @Meta-Gnostic You don't get it. Go read about habituation. If you really find my previous post to make no sense whatsoever, you really have no idea what I'm saying.

It does take some larger driving force for a person, who has in the past not been violent, to go ahead and shoot people. Playing violent videogames results in someone not having as much guilt on their conscience when they decide to go ahead and be violent. It makes it easier to handle a gun without thinking about it. It makes the deaths feel less real. It's a small part of the whole picture. Then there's the practice factor, practicing in a videogame makes it easier to execute in real life.

@Aryck1095 Games are part of the problem, but they're a very small part of the problem. If you're exposed to a violent image enough you habituate to it. Simple psychology. And if you're acting out that violence, you habituate to the mental act of that violence. Basically it makes it a tiny bit easier for you to go through with violence you have some habituation to.

But violence in tv and film is more realistic and more approximates reality, so we would habituate to that even more. And using guns for any reason, say target practice, makes one many orders of magnitude more likely to be able to use those guns against people without remorse. And I say this after playing videogames for over 25 years. But yes the politicians are making the wrong moves.

These politicians are going fiercely after the gaming industry while ignoring the larger problem of gun availability and mental illness treatment. They are also ignoring violence on television and in films.

Why? Because it is easiest for these politicians to scapegoat the game industry and get something accomplished there more easily, and then they can sit back and claim they did something to solve the problem so they can get respect, praise, and/or voted back into office. The politicians are THE problem because they're taking the easy way out for their own self-interest and putting every citizen at risk.

@Denji You've obviously never played Resident Evil 1-3. They were in no way a point and click adventure game and even more so you did not run away from everything. What they were though is a lot better than Resident Evil 4.
