not for my 360, for the router, the router is red till it picks connection, usually after 10 seconds it will turn green

i have a red light when i turn on my 360, what could that possibly mean? all my other friends 360's are working

i had live before and i used a wireless router for my 360 and got signals from other people, but i stoped getting those signals, so i bough a wireless router for my computer, but its still not working, how do i fix this, do i have to code them together or something?
