@Sw1tched: Yeah, this is why I rarely use copyrighted material in the vids I make now. I used to 10 years back for reasons similar to this. Even worse, Google always sides with the company even when they're in the wrong.
If not for all the attention this got, I doubt your vid would've been reinstated so fast. it truly is a shame publicity is the only way to ensure a speedy and favorable resolution now.
It is also why you often see multiple copies of the same video content on You Tube: They decided to use coding to handle everything. Half the problems on You Tube wouldn't exist if they just paid the money to hire an army of admins to handle it.
TLoU's opening was the only thing I liked about it. I really felt for Joel and had to remind myself the game was just beginning, not ending.
My favorite opening overall goes to a little game called Lost Magic (Nintendo DS) where youre supposed to lose the game's Antagonist. Then you find out you weren't playing as the game's real protagonist. AND the guy you were just playing as is not only your father but is an enemy =O
There are just SO MANY other games that more than deserve the honor. If you live in the UK and you disagree with the winner, use your voice.
Gears of War 3, MGS4, The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Tales of Graces f...I can go on and on. I haven't played any of the games I just listed or event Skyrim but they at the very least, they are worthy of the honor.
"The Final Fantasy VII: The Web Series Kickstarter campaign went live on July 22 asking for $400,000 to produce five to six episodes based on the role-playing game."
Until I saw this I was on Kickstarter's side. Shame on Gamespot for leaving this big detail until the final sentence.
This is an easy slam-dunk for SE on copyright grounds. Kickstarter's mistake was asking for money to produce the webseries. Unlike other known Fanmade projects shut down by SE (Most notably the 3DS Crono Trigger and Crono Trigger sequel) these guys were open out soliciting funds for this project.
