It's because US controls a quarter of the world, which poses a threat to other nations. Us had always been known at joining the war near the end taking over places.

And 60% of the humans in space. Not really a quarter.
You forgot to add in all the money we spend importing from other countries.
so basically i have been without power for like a week, i live in New Hampshire and we got nailed by a huge ice storm. According to the power company about 300,000 people are witholut power as well. For the other people they might not get their power back until after christmas.
