[QUOTE="AmazonTreeBoa"][QUOTE="The_Gaming_Baby"] A fireman who enters a burning building to save someone is a hero. Come on now.WasntAvailable

No it is a fireman. Now a civilian running into a burning build is a hero. I also agree with what somebody asked me about the firemen and police men that had the day off and came to help. Yes those are heros.

Your definition of hero is completely arbitrary. You obviously don't consider that firemen and policmen are putting their lives at risk everyday by simply doing their jobs. And do you think that because they are making money that disqualifies them from being heroic? Do you realise how ridiculous that sounds? You've been watching too many crap action films. Also you do realise that as part of their job in extreme circumstances policemen and firemen are actually called back to work if they can, and if they refuse they would likely be fired?

@AmazonTreeBoa are you kidding! My uncle was one of those firefighters who went into the south tower... R.I.P Ladder 22. My uncle did survive so your basically saying that he is not a hero?! You disgust me..

[QUOTE="Travo_basic"]I was teaching my third period class of eighth graders when the principal announced on the intercom for us to turn on our TVs. We saw one tower on fire and witnessed the plane crashing into the second tower. I guess NY seemed too far away for many of them to grasp what was going on. A few didn't care. In fact, one girl told me to turn it because it was boring. Yep, sadly, that's the first memory I have of what I was doing at that very moment. I was pissed at her. We had the TV on all day in the room while we continued to "work" on our projects, every teacher did. A few of the teachers said they were gonna stock up on supplies and gas because prices were gonna spike and there would be a gas shortage. Of course there wasn't, but that didn't stop me from filling up. When I got home, I called my best friend who is in the army at the time and discussed the possibility of him going overseas. Three days later, he was married and had his first child on the way. Talk about life a life changing experience. One silver lining for me is that I had a chance to meet a very nice young man due to the tragedy. A new student who moved from New York, named Charles. His parents decided to move because they had ties to that small rural community and didn't feel safe anymore. Charles was sweet, intelligent and had a heart of gold. He had actually taken a field trip to the twin towers the very day before. That little town was where I had my first teaching experience, a cesspool of a town, really. But I will always remember some of the students, like Charles, who made it easier to work there.

...I remember my teacher doing the same thing except it was more like crying and awe because i lived in Newark, New Jersey.

I think that the ultimate actor who plays characters is Harrison Ford.

I mean, he played Han Solo and Indiana Jones and it didn't completely ruin his career. That's a huge achievement.

I listen to the in-game music. Listening to other music just seems, I dunno, a bit like watching a movie with the sound muted and talk radio going. What's the point?

worlock77
But the music might be bad and you might wanna listen to other music.
