you know i was checking my gamertag and all my played games. and i came to realize that the idea of Achivements/Trophies was meant to be fun... i mean it was supposed to be fun to get em but it seems that game devs have twisted and corrupted the very purpose of achivements. Not all of them are annoying. but heres a few kind of them that are.

* Find every collectable

i really really hate these achivements. specially when its find every collectable in the game. i hate looking for those things. specially cuz its things that are meaningless and useless. only game i had fun looking for em... was Batman: AA... because they were riddles. and it was really fun solving them. i wish more games would do the same. but sadly the only game that will... will be Batman: AA 2

Worst Offender: Assassins Creed

* Complete the whole game without being Seen

oh stealth games. how fun can they be... recently i played Velvet Assassin and i kinda liked it despite all the hate it got. i agree it wasnt GOTY material. but it was still fun to play. another stealth games that i used to like were the tenchu games. and i guess im not the only one cuz ninjas are so cool. So these kind of games always have an achivement for not being spotted so if u do... you can kiss you achivement good bye. ok if devs wants us to be sneaky. well at least they should make it like... complete lvl 1 without being spotted... achivement unlocked... complete lvl 2... achivement unlocked... kinda like The Chronicles of Riddick... where u get an achivement for not being spotted during some parts of the campaignor Velvet Assassin for completing 1 lvl without being seen. dont make us sneak the whole damn game for just 40g.

Worst Offender: Prison Break The Conspiracy

* Reach Lvl 50 during Ranked Matches

oh god u gotta love playing ranked matches and how ppl quit just before they are going to lose. i tried once to lvl up during ranked matches on Saints Row 2 and thats what happened. the game was uber laggy there was not enough ppl and then when we were going to win the other team left. or when we were losing all of a sudden i was the only one left so eventually i gave up so i dont even bother no more with ranked matches

* Beat the game in under XXXX hrs

february was not a good month to be a gamer. at least not for me. only game i got was Bioshock 2 and it wasnt as great as i was hoping for. so hopefully March will be better. and i already have some games i want. so lets take a look shall we?

ive been waiting for BattleField Bad Company 2 since i heard it was coming. i really enjoyed the first one. specially the SP. so im gettin it on day one. the MP was really fun too. despite all the lag. but something tells me im going to be playing the SP mostly.

im not a fan of JRPG's... specially after playing Fallout 3. but i really enjoyed FFXII despite all the hate it got. it was really fun to play and i liked it. specially the combat system. so FFXIII went back to the turn based BS n random combat.. and that theres no towns and what not... but well. despite that i think ill give it a shot. who knows i might end up loving it.

Speaking of Fallout 3. theres this game i didnt know about until 2 weeks ago. Metro 2033 based on a book. aparently the story of the game takes place in the year... yeah u got it... 2033. a post apocaliptic world covered with ice because of the nuclear winter thingy. so ppl now live unside the metro stations. as u can see it seems pretty much like fallout 3 and it plays like fallout/borderlands a FPS shooter with RPG elements and stuff... so i might give it a try. of course not until i get some reviews. not that i care much about em but i wanna see if its worth it or not.

So march is coming. are you guys getting something at all?

well last friday i completed ME2 on insanity and i got 1000g. im just missing one achivement. but ill get it later on cuz rite now im kinda sick of ME2. and well i got Bioflop 2 on launch day and i havent even played it yet. so this is my next game. hopefully it will keep me busy till Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Final Fantasy XIII comes out next month.

if im part of your Friends List(XBL) then u would have noticed that ive been playing ME2 like crazy. yeah ive been trying to get 2 achivements (beat the game twice and beat it on Insanity) and well lately ive come to realize how crappy AI can be. so makes me wonder how hard can it really be to make a decent AI teammates. i guess it must be really hard cuz most games with AI suck. so heres a few sugestions on how to fix there Annoying and Frustrating Design Flaws.

lets start with ME2. ok ME2 AI is not that bad if you are playing on normal or easy difficulty. but on Insanity. man its a really pain in the butt. and here is why. ok a firefight starts and heres the 2 possible outcomes.

1) it takes cover in the wrong place and stay there n dies

2) is perfectly safe behind cover and for some reasondecide to get out of cover and go rambo ****and dies 2 seconds later.

so i wonder how hard is it to come up with an algorithm that solves the problem?

wow well that seems to solve the problem. so if anyone from the Bioware team is reading my blog please feel free to take it and use it in ME3. and dont worry about giving me a cut. this one is on the house :)

L4D series. is a heavy team based series. u depend on your teammates to survive. and yeah i know what you are going to say. "but MissMorphine L4D is never meant to be played on Expert with the bots." and maybe you are right. but this problem is only... well a "problem" when u play it on expert. but it happens all the time. what am i talking about? well that the AI always hogs all the health. med packs and pills. and most the times they have around 50% health and then use the pills and then heal itself. now i ask myself why on earth would it do that? why cant they make an algorithm like this that would solve the problem.

see not hard at all. Valve... same goes for you. feel free to use it in L4D3 or any upcoming update for L4D2.
