Missile129 Blog

I've decided from now on to try and do an entry for every SSBB update =D

So today we get Lucas' special moves but it appears most of us are turning towards the quote:

"There's a character named Ness who has appeared in the Smash Bros. series up until now, and Lucas is very similar."

The key words here are 'until now'. Could this possibly mean that Ness will not be returning? Of course we also have an earlier quote from a previous update regarding Lucas:

"Is it possible he can surpass even Ness?!"

It seems there is more and more evidence to suggest the removal of Ness and with Lucas having similar moves (In the exception of one or two attacks) there is even less chance of Ness returning. This goes on the rumour that Sakurai (The director of Brawl) said "There will be no clones" meaning Ness would need an entire new moveset in order to come back in Brawl.

There is some hope however, Ness' moves in Super Smash Bros Melee were not his actual attacks that he could perfrom in the Mother games that he comes from. In fact, they were just anyone's moves so Ness could return with a moveset made of anything you see in his franchise!

My opinion, i don't care if Ness returns. I never really played as him thanks to his awful recovery. Sure it's good when you can pull it off but it's too easily intercepted and can't be used in tight places. If he could wall jump or use the tether recovery it would be a different story and as Lucas does have the Tether recovery he could be gaining a place on my Main Characters list ;)

Counting down the days till Brawl...

I lost count half way... so long.... so so long....

Though the Dojo www.smashbros.com is giving up daily updates on the game - this just makes me want to have it have it now!

Some of the information posted there is cOLD and it really annoys me when the brawl boards are flooded with "This update PHAILS because i already knew!". We learnt about a lot of stuff at E for All and the videos posted about it but just because we knew doesn't mean everyone knew. For god sake, there are some people who only visit the site to get the update and don't go to any other site!

Countless times i've seen people try to argue "There was an update on the dojo about E for All so there's no excuse for not knowing" Someone didn't realise the update was only posted on the American site therefore someone who only checks the part relevant to them wouldn't know.

How many times do i have to say the updates aren't for you they're for everyone. When someone posts "X PHAILS because i already knew" just gives across a selfish, self concerned person impression that i for one don't want to know much about.

There was one hilarious argument i had with someone over this who self owned him self far too many times. If it was still under my forum posts i'd copy out sections but it's gone (Probably modded for all the swearing he was dong during his ridiculous arguments).

And don't get me started on the Casual VS Pro debates*cough* inflammatory arguments *cough*that we have on those boards. Can't people hold a sensible, intelligent debate or even better just stop poking your nose into over people's business! They payed for the game so let them play it how they want it. There is a reason why fair and unfair stages are put in the game, it's the same reason for why an item switch is put in: it's because not everyone plays the game the same way like some people *points to casual vs pro arguers* think they should. Let's all be spitting images of each other to solve this then eh?

We see countless topics on those boards about people trying to stop these arguments and they all fail drastically. Some people will never learn... and if i can't express my frustration on the boards without being flamed to death i'll do it here.
