This controller is amazing for street fighter. commands are alot easier to pull off now, finally rivaling the PS3 controller for the game.

Tales of vesperia, the fable series, oblivion, etc etc.

Tales of Vesperia has a cool soundtrack, and so does the BlazBlue series. Street Fighter has some nice tracks, but the best in my opinion is once again, Tales of Vesperia.

Dragon Age, Oblivion, Morrowwind, the LOTR games, just to name a few.

Is xbox live silver free? I have never seen a card or pay option for it.

How much are mics?

If I have a mic, can I limit talk audio to just come out of the headset?

Do .ogg files work for music? I have a ton of them

how much is a decent sized xbox hard drive?

I have an 8GB flash drive and an 4GB internal hard drive. I wanted to save my NFS:Hot pursuit game on the flash drive (just incase). I'm not sure if you can save games on it or not, as my sister is playing it right now.

Games like BlazBlue still have great soundtracks, but I understand what you mean. The end boss music for one game sounds like the entire transformers movie soundtrack, which is just the timpani drums, trombones, and the rest of the band playing their complex crap.
