You must have played the wrong games to think NiGHTS is better than any PS1 game. Have you played FF7, Tony Hawk, Crash, FF8, Dragon Warrior, Valkyrie Profile, Vagrant Story, Xenogears, FFT, Parasite Eve, FF9, MGS, Granturismo, Resident Evil, Tekken, and etc....?

100% with this guy, nights didnt have a impact on the gaming industry like most of these games did
props to Xenogears, FF7-9, MGs , RE series. Parasite Eve and Valkyrie Profile
nights probly was a great title ive heard of it and i remeber playng it a bit on a friend's house but it is a dead franshise that just got brought back from its grave, dont start hyping it yet
for one its not the same team that is developing the game, and second we dont know much about this game yet to deduct its going to be a AA-AAA title.

this game alone its what it makes me want a ps3 as well, iam hating every single aspect of sony strategy on this gen, but FFXIII is just looking too amazing, i wonder what kind of rendering farm they use for graphics like those, these models/textures/lightings are just out of this world this is the only console game that i think its on par or might even be superior to what crysis has to offer

[QUOTE="squallff8_fan"][QUOTE="dapmediainc"]

I'm President and CEO of a successful web advertising company. If I gave everything away for FREE, I'll be broke and my company won't be able to expand or grow. So, from a business stand point, MS is doing the right thing.

dapmediainc

That is just BS man and u know it. I own a ps3 and an xbox 360 and I would understand something like this coming from MS if xbox live was free, but we pay for this, and I think maps and stuff like that should be free since we already pay for our online benefits.

As for the ps3 I would understand if devs wanted to charge us 5 bux for a map pack then I would understand since we aint paying to play online on there servers, it only makes more sense, but in MS is case, we shouldnt have to pay crap for the new maps since we already pay them for xbox live gold, dat should be there way of showing us consumers there appreciation of buying the games on there console and paying for there xbox live gold services. MS is just milking us consumers and u all know it, but fanboys will always come to the rescue.

Microsoft is a well establish company and many people believe that since you are on top, you need to give back to your consumers. Well, I believe that is right.  MS has provided and has given back that to us. Look at all the different innovations MS has brought us.  MS has showed young entrepreneur like me a great business model, a plan for the future and it looks very promising.

Bill & Melinda Gates, I believe has donated more money than Sony and Nintendo combine.  People have all every right to bash, Rant and rave about their likes and dislikes. No one is forcing you to buy the maps, it your choice. Hell, I brought a GPS system for my wife car and notice that when there a new map out, I have to pay $79.00 everything. $79.00, I think it's a little excessive coming from a consumer stand point. But looking at it from a business stand point, It's the right thing to do.  That money will have to pay for that developing time, Utility usage, payroll ect.

It's very hard to juggle the fine line between the consumer and business practices.  I can see why every might be upset that one company wants to charge a fee when the other don't. Well as a consumer, I side with you, but as a business owner, that's where I stand on the other side.

PS. I have not paid for any Gears Of War maps, It's been all free.

you do know that the windows is a flawed system and a pretty bad one when compared to what mac osx has to offer, not to mention the linux alternative wich is free and has an open source code, microsoft take advantage of their consumers and do this very often. again this topic is about ms charging for maps on gears of wars, maps that bungie was going to give away free of charge because they tought that they already had milked enough money from their user base and wanted to give something back to its consumer, but microsoft for some reason coudnt allow that to happen. sorry man but this is a gaming forum not a buisness, having to pay for a gaming map its nothing compared to upgrading a gps, its not vital and not as expensive to be developed. theres no reason these maps should be charged considering that theres already a monthly fee atached to the online service that should be used to pay such services as new content for its subscribers.

[QUOTE="mattbbpl"][QUOTE="TekkenMaster606"]Gotta love it how everyone avoids my price comparison when they talk about PC being out of date constantly. TekkenMaster606

I've learned it's not worth the trouble. We did this just a while ago and asked why a PC would cost such a ridiculous amount and they threw things out like 4GB ram for $400, SLI 8800s, Top of the Line Sound Cards, etc. I'm amazed that they didn't go totally nuts with Windows Vista Ultimate, Solid State Drives, and Network Accelerator cards.

And none of that is needed. It may help performance but even I know when something isn't needed for gaming. I know Blu-Ray isn't needed. 1GB of RAM is suitable for getting great peformance out of most games on the market today. And a $200 Radeon X1950 pumps out great looking visuals. I'm getting full AA and AF out of STALKER on a single card...

its son fun when people compare the ps3 price with a high end ALIENWARE case with watercooling =p.

[QUOTE="ithilgore2006"][QUOTE="CB4McGusto"]Logic this and logic that, sales matter, 3rd party this, stop that bs. Why don't you guys spend more time actually playing your so called fun and innovative wii instead of trying to own people over the Internet who bash it. Huh? Wiisports, SPM, what? Don't tell me your tired of those titles already, why don't you try playing them online, opps! CB4McGusto

Is this proof that logic is unacceptable to cows?

Whoever said I was a cow, or any fanboy for that matter? I don't support any of the next gen consoles seeing as they all have their flaws, now that doesn't mean I won't eventually own one or two. Nice assumption though!

Every system has flaws....not just the next gen ones you know that right?

Now that you can download patches, updates, firmware, etc. those flaws can and will be eventually fixed.

P.S. The Dreamcast and N64 didn't have any flaws imo.;)

hmm that must be why the dreamcast didnt floped.

Bingo...Flaw for Dreamcast....

then you do admit that in the end of the day what really matter its each person PERSONAL opinion that counts ps: theres also firmware updates for the wii and the dreamcast was indeed a great console =p

[QUOTE="Timstuff"]I seriously doubt the Wii will have strong legs. It's going to be really popular for the next few months, but next year I think it's going to fall fast and hard when Xbox 360 and especially PS3 are flexing their massive next-gen muscles. People will not be interested in Wii when they can get something that has enough power to show improvement with each wave of games released.Baraka87
Agreed!

the only improvement ive seen so far on those 2 consoles are the graphics, and i can get much better graphics on my pc with the dx games coming up later this year, nintendo is acuatlly ofering something new to gameplay other then graphics giving it a edge over the "competition"
