Its a great game but the best part of the game, multiplayer, isn't going to be what it used to be.

There is zero chance it comes out before Microsoft's new online store goes live.
Microsoft said they are the frontrunners on pc again.
So im expecting 6-18 months.
[QUOTE="Wanderer5"][QUOTE="DarkLink77"] IceFrog didn't make DOTA.Brownesque
But he is the current owner. The original creators gave the mod to him and left to be Riot games.
Owner? That's an asinine idea. First of all, he didn't even create it. No one owns something without owning the copyright. When did Icefrog copyright DOTA? Did the original creators copyright DOTA and then give Icefrog the copyright?Noone has attempted to copyright DotA until now, honestly so what if frog didnt create it? He and whoever helps him are the ONLY ones maintaining dota.
I love these people who say "ive known dota for years, i know guinsoo, i know eul i know blah" so what? You know what guinsoo is doing? Oh YEA making money off the dota concept with LoL and riot games. Icefrog didnt ditch Dota while working on dota 2.
DotA the WC3 MAP will always be FREE. A direct sequel financed by valve with input from the guy who MAKES DOTA RIGHT NOW has every right to be called Dota 2. Will people buy dota 2 when u can just play dota? who knows.
I personally would pay an amount thats reasonable for a graphics upgrade and to get past the wc3 engine restrictions (eg the recipe system)
A sequel has to happen sometime thats true to the original map and has better interface and accessibility, Id rather valve get the license than trying to navigate bnet 2.0 for a dota game in starcraft 2 the engine is even less suited for DotA.
I like how after a decade of giving the middle finger to pc costumers they say "hey fable 3 is coming out on pc, remember? that game way back where we denied the sequel on your system?"
Now suddenly we are supposed to believe they are the leaders on the platform and buy into their webservice?
With EXCITING NEW titles like 'GTA THREE" and "DUES EX" and "AGE OF EMPIRES ONLINE" this certainly isnt a joke.
No it won't have any significant impacts on your enjoyment of the game. The plot is made to make sense on its own. Mostly importing saves keeps some background information and one or two characters will have a few extra pieces of dialog and say they remember you or one of your choices in the first game.

oh jesus... that's called HYPE. they don't tell ANYTHING about the gameplay itself. except those mediocre gameplay videos.
those trailers sure look nice, but this game looks just too simple. we'll see... i refuse to believe Blizzard would fail completely.

As important this games seems to be to fans, I doubt they will fail to deliver a quality game.
that's what i keep telling to myself too, but those gameplay videos are filling me with doubt... it sure looks good, when it comes to visuals.
wait what? if anything its visual's are one of the weaknesses of the game ( i consider them a positive considering the benefits of better performance). Everyone is excited because it caters to so many games. Those who are into the online skilled play, those who like the genre and those of us who played the first and can't wait for the continuation of the story.watch cinematic on youtube
post on GS about a "prediction"
