My mother agrees with everything this old hag spews out and every single time she asked me questions about my beliefs I answer fully while I ask one simple question or two and I get a answer that trails off the original path. I think we all can agree that without religion this world would be more at peace and such. I have no reason to believe in such things that have no proof that exist other than a book written by human-beings lol. My whole family is all up into this religion bs and there is no way to escape their constant gripes since I was a teen.. So I came to OT to vent and ask for tips about what to say to these christian fanatics who think people of sexual preference , cultures and different race will burn for eternity.

Honestly, why do you care what others believe? You live your life the way you want, and they will live the life they want. Why not just tell them you don't believe it though? They will still love you. Be glad you even have a family, I wasn't so lucky.

God answers prayers of those that put their faith in Christ.

I had faith up until I was 12 and my life never got better and now that I don't believe in fairytales my life has improved by my own actions.

First of all, God is not a welfare agent. He expects us to live our lives and succeed at life in this world. Second, you many have gone to Church up until you were 12 but I question if you were fully able to understand what serving the Lord and putting your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior really entails at that young age.

Believing in God and believing him and serving Him are two different things. If you read the Bible, even Satan believes in God.

It sounds to me like your belief in God was conditional based on what He would do for you in this world. Since you didn't get what you wanted from God, you walked away.

It sounds like you wanted your will, not His will to be done. It doesn't work that way.

So you think we should be unhappy? What if your god does not exist? What then you have wasted a perfectly good life that you could actually live happily instead of being unhappy with something you can't even prove exist or not.

Because every turn you make you've got christian everywhere forcing you to believe in their god and if you don't they label you as evil. They raise their children to believe in this instead of giving them a choice. The way they handle dealing with non-believers trying everything they can to "convert" you even if it means going against their own beliefs to get their personal gain. They act like their belief is the only answer or anything that is right and if you disagree you will forever burn in hell. They will like i've said do anything in their power to "gather more members" into their beliefs and whatnots.
