Is it really that good? I keep hearing good things about it but that's serious, 2 weeks solid on the same game. And for those who don't like FPS is it true you can switch to 3rd person mode?Liams

Yes, you just press the R3 button to switch between 1st and 3rd person.

I own a ps3 and hdtv....get the TV first. You won't enjoy the best thing about the ps3 on your old tv (the graphics). You can use the Tv for more things anyways. I bought my 56" LCD before I bought the PS3

I want to get a hi def tv, but I want to know if BLu Ray movies look better on a 720p tv than regular dvd's would look on a 720p tv?headninjadog
To answer your questions, yes. (only for reference not bragging) I own an Sony HDTV 1080i, not full HD1080P. It plays 720P though. It looks better and you can play blueray in 720P it down converts it and you will notice a difference. Best Picture, by a difference you will only notice if you are accustomed to a 1080P Resolution, is in Full 1080P. I would recommend (for best value) going with 720P/1080i now. 1080P will cost a lot less in another couple years.
