I'll never forget the surprise 'i have cancer' plot device from this muddled plot.

I think the writing for Half-Life series was great, really well written dialogue, not too cheesy, good voice acting and even fits in some jokes here and there, 'what cat?'.

I think Reach will score higher and that they'll both sell relatively similar in terms of lifetime sales.

[QUOTE="Frostbite24"][QUOTE="hiphops_savior"] Make that Heavy Rain and GTA 4 too.hakanakumono

Heavy Rain had the problem of casting voice actors for Americans that were not American. Sometimes a problem.

The voice actors were fine.

Except the kids sounded like they had some sort of mental disability.

I would for sure say MGS4 for me, Hideo needs an editor for that melodramatic movie he made.

But besides that, FFXIII had really bad writing as well.

[QUOTE="vashkey"][QUOTE="Moto1971"][QUOTE="vashkey"] Lol, I thought X-2 was WAY better than XIII in pretty much every way(aside from graphics, of course). I didn't really like X-2 either.

You do raise a point, X-2 was at least better than XIII. I do however prefer the FFs that Hironobu Sakaguchi actually worked on, FF1-10 and thus is why I prefer Lost Odyssey over any of the new FFs coming out.

It's been my favorite jrpg this gen buy honestly I think it more jrpgs devs put more time and effort into their games they could surpass it. Lost Odyssey is a great game but the gameplay anything new. It was the presentation and and plot that really made it great. Thats not to say it wasn't fun, it provides most of what you'd ask for from a jrpg, just nothing more.

The gameplay was very traditional, but it was a lot better than FF13's.

[QUOTE="Moto1971"]

It would either have to be playing with noobs/too many snipers on BF2, MW2's multiplayer.

But actually, nothing still annoys me more than FFXIII, It's easily the worst in the series if it didn't have to compete with X-2, I was annoyed by the storyline, the dialogue and the characters, and the gameplay was even annoyingly simple.

Hopefully they ditch the cheesy names, like 'Lightning', or 'Snow', or 'Hope'.

[QUOTE="locopatho"][QUOTE="Moto1971"][QUOTE="locopatho"] That's not very fair. It brings up great points about politics, control, etc. What about the Metal Gear set up to filter the internet, controlling all information so that dissent is impossible and America can be slowly turned into a police state? That's some pretty heavy **** right there!

That sounds unoriginal. But when I speak of my comment, i'm referring to MGS2/4. MGS1/3 were great games, especially 3 which really fleshed out the history/past of the series in a less convoluted manner.

Unoriginal doesn't mean bad tho.

The story wasn't bad because of the unogriginal plot, it was bad because it needed editing, and more development, like *spoilers*.... Building up to what's her face's cancer. Big Boss's return There are more i'm just too tired to think them up What i mean is that they have to build up to it, not just drop it in on a whim.
