If this is real, then I guess I'll get a 4870....

Hopefully it is true, then Nvidia will have to pull itself together...

I don't know why, but Ive been using Nvidia Products for over how long, 3 years or so? I love the brand but I'm not a fanboy. No problems with the products at all. Never got a card from ATI... This might change now tho.

Not right now, wait till prices drop.

There aren't any games besides crysis that can really use anything more than a 8800gtAjtriple2
Yeah thought so...

I think Imma wait it out till this holiday season.

I believe there is an option with nTune that controls your fan speed....perhaps you misadjusted that....if all else fails....just uninstall the card....physically remove it....then plug it back in and see if that fixes it...sometimes it takes a hard reset to get hardware to reset itself.JohnD212
yeah I have it on 30 % in ntune...

I guess I should uninstall it then...

Now, Im not ruling out the possibility that my card sux and it's defected but I can feel it in my gut that I have somethin connected wrong. My PSU is decent, 18 amps on the 12 volt rail with 520 Watts. The card turns on and everything and I can play games, but the fan doesn't seem to spin.

Anyone have any trouble shooting tips or something before I give up and send it in.

I had an 8500 GT. It would run WiC on med, crysis on low, and CoD4 on med. But dude, since you have a quad core, (I assume a Q6600/Q6700) don't let that processor go to waste. I got my 8800 GT 2 months ago for merely 200 $ and my frames almost tripled. Not to mention ur processor won't bottleneck unlike mine (I have a 4200+).
