Trunks putting an end to the guy seems like more or a feat than Goku's, don't forget that Metal Frieza is always depicted as more powerful than the original. Trunks seemed more powerful at that point, granted he's from the future.

Not on the same level perhaps...but still, I'm not even a big fan of Goku, just seeing these debates about who's really the strongest fighter seem more pointless than beating a horse ridden with rigor mortis. Perhaps it'd be a little more acceptable if it was a series that kept itself in check, yet as cool as DBZ, it's too damn erratic to argue over.
