First one was awesome but so damn short for 60$. Waiting for reviews concerning lenght and multiplayer, but I'll buy a day or another (if it's short I'll wait a few months for a price drop like I should have done with the first)

Damn the game looks awesome. The graphics and gameplay ideas they have is revolutionary for the survival horror genre, which is dying now. I love horror games and there are so few of them I'm craving for some (Resident Evil took the 3rd person shooter turn, and the only other horror games are either shooters (condemned, bioshock) or some nonsense japanese sony stuff (silent hill, good games but wtf with the storyline). Anyway I really hope it turns out good since AITD created the genre years ago (anyone played the first one, in the western setting?) and survival horror games need a boost now. But I fear the game will be more of a tech demo than anything, I mean they say the game is made of a certain number of 30-40 minutes episodes and I read somewhere that there are 8 episodes, so do the maths and you get a damn short game. And we didn't see any enemies except little bugs, I hope there will be some big nasty creatures (but I'm not expecting humans, zombies or other humanoids; I hope the only people you'll see will be corpses and that you'll be all alone with blood scenting creature like in Pitch Black (maybe they got their ideas from that movie). Anyone excited about it? If it's 8 hours or more I buy it for sure (get the trailer and 2 tech demos on the marketplace if you don't know what the game is and have a remote interest for horror games). The graphics are really some of the best around, I didn't expect that

Hi,

I bought my HD-DVD this summer (for 80$) and I always used it to play movies (hd or not) so that I always leave my games in the 360. Anyway yesterday it started making a BEEEEEEPS noise every 3 seconds and the screen tears and pixelates. I tried unplugging and replugging, tried several dvds (they all work fine in the 360 drive) and I just tried HD-DVDs and it's even worse (freezing, sometimes message about licensing problem, etc. even the damn FBI warning bugs). I tried clearing the cache of the player and it didn't change anything. Anyone had a similar problem? My 360 and HD-DVD and in a pretty small enclosure but I tried them in the open and no change (anyway they waren't used for hours so they were cold). I keep them in my furniture which is small but in the past I kept them in the open and they died anyway (well the 360, twice) so now I keep my xbox in the enclosure and if it breaks again well I'll exchange it again I have a warranty. (just cleared that up for those who'll tell me it's something about heat)

Thanks

Just sent this in Creative forums, I'll try here as well;

Hi, I had an Iriver h320 wich I really liked, but passed away yesterday (well saw it coming had it for 3 years and a half). Since then I've been looking for a new mp3 player and back when I bought my Iriver I hesitated between this and a Zen Touch. So since I trust Creative for good sound, I'll buy one but now I'm hesitating between 2 offers and can't choose. 20gb wasn't enough for me, since I now have over 30gb of music, so I came across a brand new Zen Touch 40gb which Ican have for roughly 100 dollars. I knew someone who had one and didn't really like the touch pad (I neither really like the ipod one, but at least it's circular) and I heard the battery life was awesome (but irreplacable). But then, I come across another offer wich is a new modified Zen Xtra with a new battery and a 160gb hdd (well 130 since the player can't use more). I'll never have to worry about disk space, which really tempts me. Can someone who owned one or both these players help me a bit? Here's a + and - list of each:

Zen Touch: +100$ +more recent model +battery life +new so better warranty-only 40gb -don't like the touch pad Zen Xtra: +130gb +replacable battery (and 2$ spare batteries) -200$ -less good warranty

So please help me make my choice, thanks to any repliers

If you never played HL2 get ready for an awesome shooter but it's still just a regular shooter (but with awesome physics) and the graphics are not on par with games like bioshock or gear of war since it's an old game. But you get Episode 1 and 2 which makes HL2 like a 20-25 hours game plus portal (never played it but looks cool) and a multiplayer game. But Mass Effect is really unique, beautiful (some of the best graphics around) and involving as a single player game. I'd say Mass Effect, since I bought the LE and not regret it at all. I play from time to time and haven't finished 60% of the game yet (25 hours in) so if you do and read everything you'll get a 40 hour out of it. So shooter or RPG? Multiplayer or not? Awesome graphics or more content? Your choice, but ME for me

Hey I just saw that site for the first time I laughed my *** off I mean everything there is so biased I can't believe a webmaster actually took HOURS of his life to such Sony fanboyism.I prefer the 360 but I don't hate the ps3 it's just that it doesn't have exclusive good games now (I'll consider getting one in 2-3 years) and I love my psp? I mean the editor is SO happy to see that SMG is #3 in japan... it's one of the best games ever! Why shouldn't it sell? I don't have a Wii since nothing is good on it except nintendo games but I'll get one for sure one day only for those! And it's always referring to the red ring problem; I got my 360 day one and yes, it failed after 2 months but M$ replaced it in a week and they only charged me for my new 3 years warranty I didn't take first. Haven't got a problem since! This site is completely ridiculous

I send this email to microsoft days ago and they answered with something about region code and ntsc stuff; really attentionateemployees. Maybe someone here can answer me

Hi,
This is a question about multilanguage xbox 360 games. I live in Quebec and so far I had no problems since all games had english and french sound. But I bought Halo 3 a month ago and to my surprise it was only in french (my console is set in english so I had subtitles but I was really disappointed). I bought the game in a Wal-Mart and there were no english versions (I wasn't sure about the audio but the box was all in french). I'd like to know your policies about games in Quebec. I'm french but I really hate french voiceovers in games and Halo 3 was the first I encountered that was french only. Do game stores have french AND english copies of unilanguage disks or french only? I reserved Mass Effect in a store and I fear that the game will be french only like Halo 3 (probably for DVD space reasons). I'd like to know if I can preorder it in english or if I'll have to import it (if I have to I'll stick to the french version but I'll be disappointed). Thanks for answering

Maybe in europe the same thing goes on (different versionsin different languages)

Hi,

I bought Halo 3 in Quebec last month and to my surprise found that the game was french only (I hate french dubbing in gamesit's like areally really badmovie dubbing). The french only box should have warned me but it's the first game I encounter that is one language only. Luckily I found a store with a clean used copy of the english version and they exchanged it for me. I preordered Mass Effect last week and since Bioware said that the disk can have only one language I want to know if ALL stores in Quebec have french AND english versions of one-language games. I asked M$ but they answered something about region code so they didn't read my email at all (so surprising). I want to know the policies towards french games in Quebec since I'll buy it online if I can only get the french version. Or can I call Ebgames to ask them to keep me an english version? If some of you have a clue about itplease enlight me Thanks

Hi,

I'm thinking about trading my old PSPfor a slim one since I really really want that damn TV output. Do you think it's a good idea? How much do you think it will cost me? I don't use homebrew so I don't care about that... and anyone who has one can tell me about the TV out? Does it work well on an hdtv or does it look bad? Thanks for you advices...
