The problem with using a PC speaker system without an optical input is converting the different connections. A PC uses the three mini-jack connections on the sound card for surround sound. A receiver uses either 6 RCA, an optical or an HDMI connection. Logitech makes (or used to make, I couldn't find it on their site) a converter that converts the three mini-jacks to two RCA, but that will only give you stereo sound. The only way to get true surround sound out of the 360 is either optical or HDMI.Bane_v2

Could i connect my old speakers there , and then connect the 360 trough the optical cable and have 5.1 sound? would it have any quality at all? Thanks
