It's your democratic right to not vote if you don't want to.
There's plenty of valid reasons not too, if you're displeased with the available candidates or with the electoral system in general than not voting or spoiling your ballot is a good way to get the message across. Low voter turn out is something people pay attention to and can spur change.

I agree with everything you said but I have to wonder how much the winners care about low voter turn out. The other problem is that if everyone followed this line of thought, then there is the possibility of many spoiled ballots or low turn out which does not really help the cause when wanting to make changes.
