I can't actually point straight at the spot I want to select, I need to maneuver it kinda like a mouse.

Am I doing something wrong? The olny thing in setting I can find is whether the sensor is on top or bottom of the TV.

I must be doing something wrong cause otherwise how do the fps' work?

I think that Red Steel is on the right track as far as how to handle FPS games on the Wii (although I hated every minute of the sword-fighting).

Don't wanna change the Subject but Call of Duty 3 controlled much better than Red Steel.  By the time I had played through the campaign on the most difficult setting I could control the game better than any console FPS i've played before it.  The level design and graphics can be debated forever, but the Controls were near perfect in my opinion.  When my friends watched me pick off head shot after head shot and raid buildings with melee attacks with perfect precision, their jaws dropped.  I have no doubt there is plenty of room for improvement in FPS's on the Wii, but if every new game on the Wii tacked on the COD3 control scheme and left it at that, I would be completely satisfied.  If we went online I would OWN..guaranteed.

The fact that the new Resident Evil is an On Rails shooter leaves open the possibility for absolutely stunning graphics.  Alot of the Wii's graphical resources will be freed up to Pre-Render the background.  I'm speaking along the lines of what REmake did on the gamecube.  I am not that familiar with the intricacies of bump mapping and cube mapping, but this seems to me like the perfect candidate to utilize those techniques.  In my opinion we can expect a game that is on par graphically with RE:5 on 360 and PS3.  Please let me know why I'm wrong if you disagree because as I said i'm not expert on this.

i think you're off to the godfather now cause MOH is 'mediocre'! I've read these boards for years and finally felt the need to register tonight just to start a thread regarding how poor the game controls. The reticule moves much to slowly in regards to the turning speed of the camera. It's like you try and aim to the right and it's sooo slow and then when you reach the part of the screen that makes you turn it just zips off the screen and you have to refocus the wiimote. The control is not the only problem with the game. The game does a very poor job of detecting when you hit an enemy from even a moderate distance. For example on the very first mission of the game, even though you can see the enemies in the balconies, you can't shoot them until you cross into a specifically triggered zone. I shot an enemy about 20 times and it did not register, I walked 2 steps closer and hit him first shot. Another gripe about the trigger boxes i mentioned.. I saw an enemy throw a grenade from a balcony and saw where it landed, I waited, waited, waited for it to explode...nothing! Then i cross the imaginary line and it explodes and kills me. Don't get me wrong about Wii FPS's.. Call of Duty 3 is in my opinion the best controling console game that I have played. The team at Activision Nailed those controls. This game is a tacked on port, and it shows. If you want a decent controling FPS try out COD3 or maybe Red Steel.. MOH:V is a waste of your time and money! Anyone else agree COD3>MOH
