Like many stated before me; the Wii is in the lead, but has not "won" the war. 360 won't stay ahead of PS3 for very long, PS3 is easily outselling 360 WW by having a lot better sales in EU and Japan + it's doing quite well in NA too.
Even if 360 sold twice as much as PS3 in NA (and it's not), it'd still be overtaken WW.
[QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"]...for the PS3 only. Ouch.

[QUOTE="N4G"] Some bad news today for Playstation 3 owners. Midway sent out a press release this afternoon which contains the exact release date for John Woo Presents: Stranglehold. The PC and Xbox 360 versions will both be released on August 27 but the pressrelease does not say anything about the Playstation 3 release.
Dutch website PS3Only contacted Midway why there was no mention of the Playstation 3 release. They just got a response from Midway which contained the bad news that Stranglehold for the Playstation 3 has been delayed for an unknown time. Although it will definitely be out this year, it seems it won't make the previous september release.
Midway recently said the Playstation 3 version would be released on September 17, but now it seems that it won't make that release. When the Playstation 3 version will be released now is something will just have to wait for. Midway's response can be read below.

Fresh off the heels of a highly successful demo launch on the 360 comes this news. Gotta be something of a blow to PS3 owners who've heard the love 360 owners are giving this game and expecting their turn to have happened soon.
So basically an updated version of Max Payne is delayed and people are suppose to be upset. Ok!
Haha! Good one! Besides; I'd rather rim David Hasselhoff than play Max Payne anyday, it was... underachieving at best.
[QUOTE="xDonRobx"][QUOTE="shaggymcp"]Rumor has it that various sources have relayed that Sony is looking to take Rockstar 'under their wings', this rumor is supported slightly by the new exclusive Rockstar franchise for PS3 as well as the expected exclusivity of L.A. Noire.
Sometimes the most unexpected news will hit you in the oddest places. That was the case tonight as we sat merrily eating dinner with developers and journalists from around the industry at the Tengu Restaurant in Westwood, California.
We were coming from a joint Sony, Activision event there in Southern California, when we were told something we definitely weren't ready for.
The discussion at Tengu was fairly simple in its scope: various sources in the press and development team state that Sony is looking to take Rockstar "under their wings". While we learned that any agreement Sony and Take Two entered into would not affect the upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV, such an agreement would presumably affect any future releases from Rockstar, including the new franchise Sony has been discussing and L.A. Noire, which looks likely to be a PS3 exclusive at this point as well.News Source: PSUNow BEFORE this gets out of hand with COWS screaming Ownage or somthing again this is a RUMOR ! J_Swayze
If anyone screams ownage that will be sad. Aside from GTA, Rockstar has not developed anything worth playing.
The same can be said about Bungie
Haha! I agree...
[QUOTE="Mummelmann"]I also thought "Under a Killing Moon" had a decent story, at least compared to other games from the same time period.

That's a...Tex Murphy game, right?
I saw it on Ebay about a week ago - would you recommend it?
I seem to remember that it had a kinda dodgy interface, but it was a part of those early to mid '90's games that utilized "real" footage for graphics, like "Conspiracy Theory" and the "Dune" cutscenes. To answer your question; yes it's a Tex Murphy adventure, and it had an Area 51 themed sequel as well, but it was lackluster imo. It is an interesting story to unveil in the original though, so if you like L.A Noire type schemes it'd be something to recommend!
deus ex, system shock 2, second sight and halo all have great storiesMelfencik
I second you on Deus-Ex, it's riveting and damn nearly a revolution (that spawned less of a legacy than it should). One of my all time favourite games! I also thought "Under a Killing Moon" had a decent story, at least compared to other games from the same time period.
[QUOTE="Mummelmann"]The earliest Ultima games also had brilliant stories, as do the timeless Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series on PC.

They were certainly unique...well, from IV onwards - Ultima IV must be one of the few RPGs where there's no actual 'threatening evil force' or anything, and the rest of the series was great, too.
I wouldn't say the same for Icewind Dale, though. It didn't have a huge emphasis on plot, and the plot was essentially just a rewrite of the first Drizzt book. It was a good game, but not for its plot.
Yeah, I suppose you're right about ID series, but they are good games nonetheless. Agreed? What game is your icon from? Reminds me of King's Quest or something.
Betrayal at Krondor is hands down the greatest story game of all time. Even with it's outdated graphics and interface (actually both are surprisingly modern as ahead of their time) it's a game well worth playing.
Reading the book afterwards will yield even more pleasure.
