I dont want anyone to get the wrong idea about where I stand. I love the competition, it pushes devs to do better but I just dont thinkthink microsoft's state was very bold to say the least.

To say that they don't need japan is not very smart. The age demographic in japan for people who play video games is a lot larger than say the america. I would not rule out the people of the rising sun just yet. I'm sure they are going tohave a very big part in deciding whatsystems will stay and what systems will go.

SecretPolice

Japan is stuck in the past, and so shall their hold on the V.G. Ind. be there as well !

MS is not in this just for the fun of it; though they are having allot of fun with it ! :P

I mean, who could possibly win without having the N.A. market on their side ?

Japan is a small pond when compared to the large Ocean and MS has that and than some.

I dont know to blantly say they dont need japan (when japan seems to not really like the xbox in the first place) is burning a bridge that they may regret burning. Plus games like mgs and ff have a huge appeal in the asain market so they might just be the boost that sony needs. These are just my opinions but it doesnt make sense from a business aspect to ignore a consumer group that supports a large portion of the industry

The biggest deal to me is who do the developers support. Right now they clearly support Microsoft. Software sales for the 360 are in first place by a long shot from the charts I have read. Developers will go where the software sells.Bones82
that is a valid point but I hope once the devs get use to the ps3's software (I read somewhere it gives dev's some trouble) some amazing games will come out.

Square is just catering to what their fans want. I personally like sqaure as a dev and dont really have a huge problem with any of their final fantasy releases except X2, the crystal chronicals, and the online.
