I have brother in Arms but really never played it online. There were too many other games to enjoy when that game came out so it has been a dust collector. I have to say that BF is the closest I have seen any game come to being SOCOM like. I value that someone feels the same. With the new commander mode they took a slice from MAG and me personally I love RTS games so this game is a great one if you ask me. In regards to the LAG and other junk, I think they will fix it eventually. It happens with any game, thats what patches are for and new DLC will bring you new maps and what more BF fans want. No reason to be negative about it DICE is much better than IW or their other partners who made it like COD. Sitting out a whole match kind of does suck so maybe there should be a ticket count per player rather than team ticket count depending on the mode and game type you are playing. There should be more strategy to BF than Kill, Die and Kill again. I do agree constant spawning is a PITA much like Campers are.

IS there a chance there is a place that sells the 6950 that can be flashed to be similar to the 6970? I wouldnt mind getting two 6950s but if a 580 would make more sense then I mind as well splurge in that dept if i can afford to spend up to 1200.

I would look to spend 1K at least unless that is far out ur reach. What kind of gaming do u do?

I am looking to build my second gaming rig. Looking to spend about 1000-1200; prefer to spend 1000 if thats good enough for a decent rig that can max out games like BF3. I am more of a RTS gamer when it comes to PC but some gaming in FPS might be necessary. I really dont need a mouse or keyboard or a LCD. In the future maybe but what I have still works and is not abused. I also do not need OS can get it without any issues.

So Motherboard, CPU, Video card, RAM, PSU and PC case is needed. I might be able to use my old DVD drives but they dont cost that much these days. Also have a blu-ray drive i never really used but I can swap that also.

BF1943 has 12 trophies. I paid 15 bucks for it and its not even worth ur time after 2 months of gameplay so ur missing out on nothing. I would rather get free DLC than a free BS game.

i love BF3 thus far. Very realistic game.

I am not impressed with the SP either. The Multi is where it is at. I see myself playing this more than MW3, Way more in depth multi rather than kill streaks and all that BS.

Yeah AMD copped on and you can't do it on newer versions. 6970 is a great choice. Good luck with your build

Good luck with the Nvidia card. I built my first rig with nvidia mobo and cards and its still kicking. :)

No problem. I also have a 60GB unit that i use seldomly. It once stopped reading PS3 games only due to a firmware issue but i managed to fix it. IMHO they are worth their weight in gold. I only own phat PS3's i dont have a Slim. But this reminds me that i may wana run a backup monthly :)
