Its called .... "Ignorance is Bliss"
Now we are talking about impact? Anyone want to tell me who will be President in the US while we are rubbing crystal balls here?
Orange Hitler or Grandma Nixon - tough choice Americans!?!?
where is the poll?
anyways....
1: PC (always the best)
2: yawn
3: Wii (offered something different)
4: PS3 (better exclusives than Xbox - still a PC wanna be)
5: Xbox - (PC wanna be)
PC, undoubtedly.
1000 grand for console ports.
Like you have ever owned a real gaming PC -_-
UC4 looks pretty epic - always have a soft spot for Uncharted that's for sure
However I will probably just rent a PS4 and this game for a week then go back to playing PC - one good game does not make a system seller at this late stage ... every other exclusive has been mediocre at best.
@horgen:
you are right, there are many examples of false economies in any field you look at, whether that is gaming or some other interest.
And yes up front high capex spending is frightening to some people even if they save considerable amounts of money through much lower opex in the long run. However this does not justify a "PC gaming is too expensive" statement in and of itself. Especially seeing as most people need a PC anyway, beefing that PC up to be a gaming PC probably isn't that much of a stretch.
If a person prefers console gaming because of other reasons (whatever they may be) then that is fine, however the point I am trying to make is that the "PC - too expensive" argument is without merit.
@N3xus9: Ok. You have spent over 4500 $ on games. That's a lot of money. :P A console gamer doe...... I don't think I should finish that sentence =/
If i had paid full price for them then yeah I have (FYI I didn't, the majority were bought in sales), but that is over ten years of Steam ... the real question is, what would a console only gamer have spent for the same amount of games over that time? And would they still be able to play all those games on the latest version of their console?
For myself, I know I have spent more than that on console games over ten years and I wouldn't even have a 1/4 of the games on console compared to what I have available to me in Steam, and certainly a lot less than that would be playable with the latest console.
