@xxyetixx: fps, racing games, fighting games are all 60fps this gen. Its a given and not what spencer is talking about. He's saying no one cares that tomb raider or uncharted are 30fps. Helll the millions of people playing Destiny dont care its 30fps. People want stable framerates 60fps is plus for most genres

idk really getting the feeling it's an unneeded luxary item. I don't personally see a difference in games between the Xbox One and PS4. I haven't heard anyone really say OMG "X" game looks sooooo much better on PS4 Pro than it does PS4.

I understand the X1X is more powerful and is suppose to do amazing things guess I just gotta see it to believe it. If I'm not blown away seeing a game run on X1X it will be a pass for me.

720p vs 1080p

Having seen games played on it in person and peoples' reactions, I see it as MS successfully resetting this gen.

It wont even the sales but it redeemed the Xbox brand in the eyes of the public. Seeing is believing and people at E3 are highly optimistic on it. I hear a lot of people saying they are glad they waiting on getting an Xbox because they will buy one now. Price doesnt seem to be an issue at all. People understand that its worth the asking price. Technical mumbo jumbo aside, laymen understand that 4K is the new 1080 and this box runs games in 4K and its better than the Pro.

Detractors are trying to spin the 'no exclusives' narrative, but in the bigger picture thats kind of irrelevant going into the holiday season after it releases. This forum doesnt like to admit it but most console gamers mostly only play AAA multiplats and this new Xbox is the machine you want to play them on. The gamers on this forum dont represent the average console gamer. Every gamer here has a highend gaming rig so yeah they are saying they dont need it. And thats cool because you dont. But everyday people that dont have a gaming rig want this console. Especially once they see it.

New IPs will come in time. This is only mid gen. The biggest criticism I heard from people at E3 was they should have brought out Halo 6 with it.

Bingo.

as a mid gen adopter who waited before i bought a PS4 (decided on the slim over the pro) and will be buying an X1X i love it. Sorry you guys who shelled out $500 for the overpriced xbone. Sorry if you want to cling to your 1080p tv because it's good enough. Enjoy. Having a PC gave me the ability to wait while these companies finally get it right. So now I have the best version of the PS4 and will buy the xbox console i wanted all along in November. I'm loving all this.

I only care about the hardware producers in terms of grades:

Microsoft: B. They promised a 4k console and they delivered a 4k console. My only negatives are not enough exclusives. But for someone who doesn't own and xbone the X1X is the buy this holiday for me.

Sony: C. They didn't really wow or amaze but they kept the ship going forward. In what seems to be Sony's MO now they showed games a year+ away. But they have had a good year so that is forgiveable. All in all solid. And Spiderman is a top 3 game of E3.

Nintendo: B+ they actually made me want to get a switch which I was on the fence about. For that they get my highest grade

this doesn't need a thread. We have known this for a year and a half now. I'm not reading your wall of text

Its a damage control thread.

if there is one thing I've learned from all the E3 damage control it's that Microsoft and Nintendo have delivered. Cows are definitely feeling some type of way

Already told you guys in the last few topics before the reveal. true 4k isn't gainable on xbox scorpio or ps4 pro. And finally you guys start to realize it's the case.

I will tell you guys something fun.

4k 60fps ultra settings, is BARELY gainable on 2-4 year old games with 2x 1080 ti's which feature 22,6tflop ( its actually a overclocked one so make it 24tflop gpu system with a 5ghz 7700k intel cpu.

thats probably 30 amd tflops, the cpu is a whooping 3-4x faster with that if not more.

Anybody that though true 4k on a 6tflop amd gpu, with a 2,3 ghz amd junk tier cpu that can't push which is a massive bottleneck on every level. Was just fooling themselves.

what do you consider "true 4k" because i'm under the impression that native 4k resolution is true 4k. What is your definition?

@NFJSupreme: I would rather put it toward a PC and get much better performance and graphical fidelity compared to xbox X where i get access to thousands of more games, millions of mods, and free online rather than a closed off corporate box from Microsoft that puts out games I am the least interested in compared to Sony, nintendo, and PC, a console that will last 2-3 years before upgrade or if sony makes a stronger machine, with a controller i generally dislike, and PC is simply better so if I had $500 to drop, it certainly wouldn't be on an Xbox one X

I have the same GPU set up as you for my PC but here where I differ from you. I'm thinking about my living room not just oh i have a powerful PC i'm good. I am upgrading to a 4k TV this year. If I wasn't upgrading this year I would be upgrading to one next year. My TV is an old 1080p sony and it's time. I'm going to need 4k content for my living room set up. Since nothing is really broadcast in 4k the only consistent 4k content are video games and blu-ray. X1X covers both of this. Also I when I'm playing games on my tv i want something as close as possible to my PC experience. X1X covers this. If my only source of media consumption was from my desktop i'd be on board with your thinking. Just upgrade my PC. But it's not. I have a living room with TV surround sound. I like to use it. So for me a PSpro or X1X is a must. Since I already have the slim and the pro doesn't have 4k blu ray or does games in native 4k i'm going with the X1X. I will still have my PC (although to be honest lately all I play are blizzard games so who knows when i'll need to upgrade from my 1060) but to shell out 500 to not really improve my set up seems redundant.
