While the controllers for the PS2 are great for PS2 designed games, they suck for the classics. Can I tell you how happy I was when the Mega Man Collection came out and how disappointed I was in the control scheme on the PS2? The Wii's classic controller is so much better for those classic games.

Let me ask you this...the PS2 game is $20 dollars, but there is only a game or two I want off that. Is it still a better bargain than the VC? The answer is no. Yes, it has a bunch of games on it, but why would I pay for all of that when I only want to play one or two? Use some common sense: you fell for the classic marketing/advertising ploy - more for your money, even though you'll never use it all.

I understand a lot of people must be frustrated trying to find a Wii. But lets be a little realistic here...you're one of millions trying to get their hands on it worldwide!!  Look at the sales at all the retailers. Most sell out on the same day they got the shipment. Yes, it might be 8-10 Wii's n that shipment, but people are in such a frenzy to get it. Nintendo is pumping out all they can and as quick as they can, but the fact is no one forsaw this level of interest for the system. Cut them a little slack here people...the system may be easy to make, but that doesn't mean all the parts can be manufactured overnight. Besides, they're trying to stock over 100,000 stores!

Three reasons:

1: Have been a gamer since video games were created and have always loved Nintendo's offerings - a little different and quirky.

2: Wiimote - the motion sensing capabilities of the system really set it in another league and provide a new gaming experience.

3: Virtual Console - getting the chance to play all those games when I was a kids is priceless. I mean come on, who wouldn't like to play Contra, Blaster Master, Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest, Super Metroid, Life Force and all those games again.

I would highly recommending picking up FFXII. The battle system isn't as intrusive as the past installments, AKA the random encounter batle system. FFXII's is seemless and works extremely well. Don't get dismayed by the slow start in the game...it picks-up after about two hours and doesn't stop. The licensing board adds a little more depth to the game, making your characters have to learn how to use eqipment before they can be equipped and enabling you to reall customize your characters based on how you play. The Gambit system takes over some of the more mundane tasks in the game in the begining - basic attacks, curing status ailments and healing for instance, but really shines later when you can set-up commands that enable character to cast spells enemies are weak against automatically. FF story lines have always been some of the best and this is no expection.
