@DIGN The funny thing is, I laughed when I saw the Infinity's AI in Halo 4. It was a man, and not only was he not naked like Cortana, but he was wearing arctic survival gear or something; the only one in the game more covered up was Master Chief. I wonder why that is.

@SurlyPotato @Butt_Chunx As hard as it is for me to imagine, I guess I have to admit that there are people out there who don't like narratives in their games. I've heard stories of people who actually try to SKIP cutscenes when they haven't seen them before. It boggles my mind that anyone can not only tolerate, but actually prefer that a game stick to the old "the princess has been kidnapped" premise again and again for decades. That's crazy. And nowhere near enough for me. The story is easily half of the reason I play games. Without a story, it's just... empty. A hollow shell of a game. I'm not being sarcastic, here; it's really important to me. That's probably why I stopped caring about Mario games long ago.

It took Bungie a while, but now even THEY are promising a Halo killer. They should know, though, that that sort of hype can backfire.

@koospetoors What I find interesting about those companies is that none of them are charities; that they're all in it to make the most money they can. They're just doing it with intelligence, where EA is not. And that's what it keeps coming back to for me whenever I see people say they hate a company for being so greedy. Greedy is perfectly fine, I just want them to be smart about it. Then they'll figure out that abusing their customers might make them money for the time being, but it is not in their best interest, short-term or long-term. But EA (and most of the industry) is just too stupid to realize that.

@Cochleadoc Yeah, did they really think this was going to be viewed as a good thing by the gaming community? They had to have known that always-online is universally reviled these days, especially after Sim City and the Xbox One fiascos. Regardless of whether or not they're going to go ahead and do it anyway, they had to be incredibly out of touch to actually admit it out loud, let alone proudly like that. It's ridiculous.

@Donkacuna Can't say I'm interested in Forza.

Ryse looks alright. Not a killer app. But maybe I'd rent it if the reviews aren't horrible.

Titanfall is pretty exciting, but I'm inclined to believe that it'll be best on PC. In the end, though, its lack of singleplayer mostly turns me off. I'm not one to play muliplayer games for long.

Dead Rising 3 looks amazing. I love that series, and I'm sad that I won't get to play it on my PS4 until next year when they release the inevitable Super edition.

Killer Instinct is mired in free-to-play nonsense right now, but even beyond that, there's no singleplayer mode, and I always get completely destroyed in fighting games online, so I can't say I'm at all interested.

Plants vs Zombies? Are we talking Garden Warfare or the iOS game? Either way, I don't care for it.

My brother would probably really like Project Spark. I even fancy myself a game designer and writer, but games like this and Little Big Planet seem entirely unappealing for some reason. Maybe it's because I hate programming, even when it's simplified. I don't know. Either way, not a system seller for me.

Quantum Break. There's a game that seems like it'll be good. I really liked Alan Wake, but I would like to see more of Quantum Break before I get too excited.

Speaking of waiting to see more, what has anyone seen of Sunset Overdrive except a CG trailer? I don't even know what kind of game it is. And isn't that being made by a third-party? Good chance it'll go multiplatform sooner or later anyway.

Going by launch exclusives alone, I'd say the XBox One easily wins with Dead Rising 3. But since that'll come to PS4 next year anyway, I'd rather get a PS4 for inFAMOUS Second Son, Uncharted 4, The Last of US 2, and even the inevitable new Wipeout. Sure, I'll miss out on Halo 5 and Quantum Break, but there are always sacrifices in choosing one system over the other, and I think PS4 has more of what I want. And that's just talking about the games: the PS4 has other things going for it like PS+'s instant game collection, a larger controller that'll probably fit my hands better, and the fact that it doesn't come with Kinect or even any kind of dumb camera. It's an easy choice.

@jgrigs09 @Rifleman22388 Well, that's the part I don't get. If you can just put it in the closet and play everything without it, then why does it come with every system? Why did Mr. Harrison say the "Xbox One is Kinect"? The whole idea is to make Kinect a fundamental, core part of the console. If you can just unplug it and store it away without running into prompts to plug it back in every time you start a game or app, then they're not justifying the mandatory purchase and that extra hundred bucks. Not that I'd want them to do that, of course (because the Kinect is stupid), but if they don't, then they're just lying.
