I have played hypermode through twice now and as I recall the part you are at is one of the most difficult parts of the whole game so don't feel discouraged by your difficulty in that area.

For me it was all about efficiency and persistence. I hope you are stocked up life and your missiles as you should not be afraid to use them.

There is more than one of the x-ray parts to destroy so if a pirate is right there blocking your x-ray you don't necesarily have to kill them.I would suggest trying to move to another area where you have to use the xray to shoot those weird ball things.

Another note on efficiency... this part of the game is made slighly easier by being able to move quickly in and out of xray and regular mode so be sure you are good at that and able to do it out of the line of fire of your enemies.

hope these notes help you out a bit. You are so close to feeling the awesome accomplishment of completing what to me is still one of the wii's best games.

I don't see how including both types of controls defeats the purpose of having the game on wii. I'm not saying it should only include support for the gamecube controller I just wish it would be included. I mean Nintendo did it themselves with Super Smash Brothers Brawl and I don't know about you but I prefer to play that game with a wavebird. I think Nintendo included that support because that is how fighters have always been played. I personally do prefer motion controls for FPS games on the wii. MOH H2 and Metroid Prime 3 are my favorite games on the console still. However I have plenty of friends who prefer to play dual analog because that is how they have always played FPS games.

I also don't think including those controls would detract from the IR control scheme because the IR is completely customizable if it sucks its your own fault.

The wii is the console of superior control and I feel part of offering superior control is offering choices and customization.

I agree that the wiimote is better than the classic controllers, but by providing both in a game you can prove that the controls are better and allow more people to play. If classic controls are included my Xbox360 fanboy friends will use them and once they have been repeatedly owned by me using wii controls they will switch, not just controlls, but consoles.

I haven't seen any conduit updates in a while, so I want to see what the boards think about this. High Voltage hosted a competition to let fans develop some of the pre-set control schemes. I think it is really awesome that High Voltage will be implementing fully customizable controls on the wii-mote and nunchuck.

However, I think it would be in the benefit of HVS and The Conduit to include support of "classic controls." I want to be able to show my hardcore gaming friends what the conduit can do (provided it lives up to the hype that is) and a lot of them don't play shooters on the wii. So to really open up The Conduit to all different kinds of players I think the Gamecube and 'Classic Controller' should be fully supported and fully customizable just like the wii-mote and nunchuck. Please let me know what all of you think, and if you support including those controls do you think it would be too late to implement them well? I have stared sending HVS my recomendation to incluse support of "classic controls" and if you agree you should do the same.

If you don't agree leave your comments here as to why and maybe you can convince me to stop my quest to get full controller support.

Now I do not want to just trash the Wii here, but if all the consoles had the same controls I would no longer play consoles. I, like most i suspect, was tempted to buy the Wii just like everyone else. I decided to wait for my girlfriends spoiled little brother to get his. He did, and everyone had a great time making Miis and playing Wii sports. Literally a week later he stopped playing it, and he is nine years old, so I suspect he is the target audience. I am not biased against any console or game without experience like "fanboys" are, but the people I know who have a Wii got bit by the Wii sports bug, and then realized there is little depth to the system as a whole. Nintendo are talented developers, so they are not to blame for my, and others'. disappointment with the Wii, I believe the controller is to blame. To call the Wii "next gen" when it doesn't even support high def (Xbox 1 did, as well as the PS2 I believe), or even play DVD's is just strange in my opinion. KSU-Wildcat

Thank you for your response. Well thought out. I am 25 and I play my Wii a lot. Now I do have to say that I would have never bought a wii on my own, or any other console I have always been a computer gamer, but the Wii has brought me back to consoles. My family that bought me the wii just like you said were initially cought by the wii sports bug. Wii sports the most in depth tech demo ever. I have really grown to love many other games like Resident Evil 4 wii edition, Tiger Woods golf, and most of the Nintendo first party games. I often take my wii to friends houses and being so small it travels well. There is always something for everyone from the most casual players to the most hardcore.

Again, thank you for your opinion and hope you also understand mine.

By the way. The wii does support high def. It does not support full 1080p high def. However I don't think there has been a game yet that really took advantage of the high def capabilities.

Poll... See topic for details.

To me "next gen" means new innovaion.

I totally wish the Wii had better graphics to immerse players even deeper into the experience but I find well controlling wii games much more immersive than games of the PS3 and 360.

I had this happen to me. A couple people helped me out. You may not need to switch AC cables. They may simply need to be unplugged for several minutes and then plugged in. For some reason it takes a few minutes for the AC cable to reset once it is unplugged. Give it a try.

Yeah ... I went to Nintendo.com and used their trouble shooting. To reset I had to keep it unplugged for a minute and a half. I guess I didn't have it unplugged that long even when I was moving from outlet to outlet. So my parents is working now and hopefully when I get home mine will reset the same way. Thanks for your help everyone. I was a little freaked out there for a little bit.
