@shingui5 @Nasimul Yes you are right! Only method a developer can use to charge a small fee for the used game is for the Online/Multilayer portion. If the single players experience is good people will happily pay for the multilayer portion. but this should be a developers choice not the console makers.

READ THIS AND THINK!

What will happen if MS pull off this Preowned Business Model?

This is for the people who thinks that MS and developers should get 90% from every Preowend Games Sales, and it will be very healthy for the game industry. Think Again.

First You need to understand why people resells a game? As a gamer, people hold onto game titles that they enjoy and value, that they know they will want to play again. So these games get resold not very often. So most of the time for the Publisher and developer get paid only once for a AAA game titles. But they make good money because lots of people buy the game. Which is the way it should be, developer/Publisher should get credit for their good work.

Now think about a bad low quality game. Most of the time people sell these games because that game have no replay value or its a really crappy game. So the game gets resold and changes hand countless times. So according to MS's new 'Preowned Business Model' Publisher and MS will get 90% sales revenue every time a game gets resold. So this crappy Game will change hand countless time, every time it changes hand MS and Developer will make more money that they do not deserve for making a low quality game.

Read This again! The developer and MS will make more money from a crappy, low quality game than a 'AAA' Game title. So People USE YOUR HEAD and THINK! Is it fare? and will it encourage the developers to make quality 'AAA' games or settle for low quality Titles that will get resold countless time and still make those people 'money that they don't deserve'.

my two cents...

@ThePope2k6 @Shewgenja We Understand your point but only thing that will happen is the game like 'Alien colonial Marines' will get away with making a crappy games and make profit from used games market and will produce more crappy games like it. Duh.

@kuda001 No you are dead wrong! because MS is not doing it for developers only, they also want a profit share from every used game trade-ins. Read the article above one more time.

Yes we are going to support dev's if 'only they' get profit from Used game sale, no one else. Like charging a fees for playing multilayer when we are using their servers and resources. Or a small activation fees for used games. and that have to be under $10.

MS wants their cut so that will makes a Used games price like ridiculously high £35 ($55). come on wake up people.

and that's right there makes them greedy.
