Guild Wars 2 Won PC game of the year, deserved!

@dmblum1799 actually, FPS rarely win GOTY, TPS though (like RE and GEOW) have more chances. GOTY is more likely to come from RPG (WOW, Demon's souls, skyrim) or Action Adventure ( RDR, MGS4) so GW2 and Dishonored are frontrunners.

@solid_snake1461 Rome 2 Total War, Company of Heroes 2, Europa Universalis 4, Simcity, new Command and Conquer game will have something to say about that.

@BatmanForever47 While Mass Effect 2 was good, StarCraft 2/ Red Dead Redemption/ Super Mario Galaxy 2 were released among others, Civilization 5 for example, and people have their own opinions for game of the year 2010.
