Not all games can be as exciting as the ones on the Wii or the ones PS3 owners are waiting for
[QUOTE="Neal_Gore"][QUOTE="deviates1080"][QUOTE="Neal_Gore"][QUOTE="TheCrazed420"]The ps3 is hardly a supercomputer. And there are many games on PC that will never work on a console.deviates1080
And there are a lot better games on the 360 that won't be on the PC for a long time(usually a couple years), by the time they may appear on the PC they will be outdated and I see no reason why a PC gamer would want them at a later time(example HALO 3)
First you might want to ask what a PC gamer would prefer, Crysis or Halo 3? When PC gamers have better, why would they be that bothered about Halo 3? I own both 360 and PC and personally Crysis is well ahead on my list of must haves.
Only for graphics reasons. Far Cry is not better than Halo and if Crysis can run on your current rig it can run on a 360 which I wouldn't have to wait for since my PC is a high end machine which in a year or two will be approaching obsolete for games.
Pc gaming does not sell as well in the software department as consoles does. I wouldn't be shocked if all game developers give up on PC gaming except for MMORPGs and move strictly to consoles
Rainbow Six Vegas looks better on my PC than on my 360, so that logic is not necessarily true. What I don't understand is why you believe that a PC becomes obsolete in a couple of years. Once you own a PC that is higher spec than a PS3 it will always be higher. Whether or not you can play brand new games 2 years down the line on the highest detail is irrelevant, you will still be able to play the game at for it to run well. If what you were saying is true then 2 years down the line PS3 would be well behind the PC because of these new advancements that have made older PC rigs obsolete.'
I'll give youfour reasons and then I must leave
1 - on-line on consoles (well not the PS3) is becoming extremely fun and I actually prefer it to PC on-line gaming(that's why I spend the big bucks for my subscription)
2 - Gaming consoles are running in HD and will offer great graphics as they are now doing
3 - The price of hardware/software for PCsbeing overpriced for gaming
4 - The ease of use with the hardware/software consoles have
read what? your uninformed post about cpu's?
you know nothing about computers if you think a 4200+ 64 fx cant run the games you listed in high settings (unless supcomm is being played on a 8 man map).
In fact, my rig proves you wrong.
so how bout you go back to sleep, cause you don't know much about pc's
oh and your comparison of ps3 and a super computer is laughable.

Calm down herbert. I was referring to what Ken Kuntaragi said about the PS3 being a super computer and I very well know what a game like STALKER can run on.
You may want to spend some time away from Myspace and browse threw this thread a little better

Wow. How many years have people been saying that? It's starting to get ridiculous. PC gaming will never die. Also, Halo being better than Far Cry is opinion, and no Crysis can't run on the 360 as the developers said that they couldn't produce the same visuals. They said they might make a different version, so basiaclly a gimped version of Crysis.Well most PC gamers I see on here say that Crysis can run on a 7800GS video card witha computer that is within two years old, now if that is true then it can run on a 360 and even the PS3 if Crytek wants to spend a couple years making a version for it.
I personally think you are going to need a beast to run Crysis and it won't be as scable as some claim
you are extremely deluded if you think I can't run stalker at full with a powerful, non-dual core, cpu. DELUDED.
This kid obviously doesnt know how to turn a PC on, letalone judge components.

[QUOTE="Neal_Gore"][QUOTE="luigigreen"][QUOTE="Neal_Gore"][QUOTE="luigigreen"]A PC is much, much more practical. I can do much more than just game. Not only that, but I think it has just a bit bigger library, with a few more games. Just a bit bigger. :|TheCrazed420
The PC doesn't need to be upgraded all the time for the many uses and it does if you want to PC game. Playing old PC games all the time isn't for me and would rather play new fresh games and not something with a mod thrown at it/on it.
I haven't upgraded my PC since last year, yet I'm able to to play games from this year. It will probably last me another year or two before I go and upgrade my video card, and that's it. Also, my system cost me 600 dollars Canadian.Well if you don't have a Dual Core 2 you most likely are overclocking your GPU/CPU and you're turning the game settings all the way down.
I know three games that you most likely don't run at full settings with your current rig:
STALKER, SUPREME COMMANDER, and OBLIVION
How come PC gamers never admit that their hardware just doesn't cut the muster like Colonel Custer?
How come console gamers don't admit that PC developers future proof their games for upcoming hardware so the game looks good for years to com? Oblivion on med/high on PC>>>>>Oblivion on consoles.
Why do people play old games when new ones come out?
