Why buy anything at all?

The ps3 cost is extreme for a gaming console. They don't have any games at all worth purchasing the system for? Blah Blah Blah...

You realize that most people will not buy a gaming pc to play games on it (hundreds of million of consoles sold in the past 10 years speaks to how consumers look at the big picture.

I would love to see a break down of the yearly sales of a game that was on the pc vs a console and see which one sold the most. The best examples will be moving forward when big pc games will be available on consoles. One has to wonder if the console game would sell way more than the pc version (esp if the game isn't World of Warcraft).

So the main stream public, if the game is on the pc and 360 only, then the game is a console exclusive, as that version will more than likely sell more than the pc version.

And for us that love to play games, they got them! Unlike the ps3!

The SIMs is the best selling game in history, and its on PC.

Not to mention online sales arent even counted... And here is a small piece of the online sales Pie: Steam has over 13 million users, and is buy online crazy.

Besides since when was quantity > quality. PC delivers the most AAAs.....

I am sorry I wasn't sure we were discussing games like "The Sims" for GREAT selling, high end pc games.

The Sims sells well because it's not a hardware hog. How many people do you know that owns a PC? lots I would hope unless you live in poor area and "the Sims" is a game a person can play on their PC that couldn't handle a game with good graphics, physics and all the other nifty things people love about games.

Also the Sims can be picked up in a bargin bin for 5 bucks.

Do you think a casual would know how to overclock a cpu buy upping the front side bus speed and upping the voltage on the ram, cpu and motherboard chipset? - No?, I didn't think so.

Good games on a PC don't always run good and it's not a casual gaming platform nor is it always about games. I think I spend more time playing around with hardware when it comes to a PC than actually gaming on it.

360 is more exspensive in the long run. pc can do so much more then 360 and won't cost you much more.

your opinion i perfer not to pay to play online especially when i feel like i am being ripped off. paying to host my own games?!

ps3 library will get bigger and there really isnt a reason to own a 360 outside of gears of war considering most the other good games can be found elsewhere.

That is bull since you have to upgrade your graphics card in a year or two and a gaming PC cost around 1400$ if you want to run Crysys and nobody even knows how well it will run on anybody's hardware configuration.

STALKER is a great example of why not to PC game. The game was made with what hardware in mind? PC games seem to be made on computers beyond the ones that your average joe has and eventually the hardware to run a game decent enough comes out later but then you might have to wait for it to go down in price.

The best graphics card(8800gtx) runs you 600 dollars.

You really need to stop pretending PC gaming is the best cause that is far from the truth.

Because the 360 has the best games unless you are Japanese and has a great online system I find more fun than on the PC.

The Wii is garbage with crap games.

The Ps3 is garbage with hardly any games.

The PC is for people that are more into the hardware side of gaming and like to build gaming machines - I own a nice PC and can get Crysis but I wouldn't reccommend PC gaming to anyone cause it can be overly expensive and a pain in the ass.

People get banned or suspended like crazy on Gamespot.

They really need to get some new mods and people need to stop being babies and reporting people all the time.

Truth hurts. The Wii is selling faster than the 360 and much better than the PS3. Nintendo Wii is not even a year old yet and they are over the 7 million mark. New top notch games are coming and even if the graphics aren't up to par with the 360 or PS3, they are still on par or slightly better than the original XBOX and there are plenty of things to do graphics wise with the Wii. The games are great, and that is what counts. Bash Nintendo all you want, but they are laughing all the way to the bank and us Nintendo fans are still happy. JDW_games

people are forgetting that 8600 GPUs are fully DX10 compatible, and decode video better than 8800s. Xenos has 48 unified shaders vs 32 8600, we all know how crappy ATI's unified shaders are, 320 of ATIs shaders can't catch up to 128 Nvidia's. The 8600 also has more mem bandwidth 32gb/s vs 22gb/s. 8600GT is a great card, but it can't even beat the 7900GT and up, that is pretty disappointing. since 8600>Xenos, and 7900>8600, that means 7900>Xenos. Same can be said about RSX. And here lemms tried claiming that xenos > 7900.muscleserge

I'm looking at your PC specs and that 400mhz FSB is kind of crappy don't ya think?
