@BrutalPandaX2 @Scarab83 I don't think anyone is denying that. They should have kept their scope in check.
The one thing everyone seems to forget though is that they scaled up their $400k adventure game idea when their kickstarter walked away with a lot more money. And $2 million is still a fairly small budget for a game.
@St0Ne4Ge Because they changed their design plan from a $400,000 point and click to a large $3 million+ point and click because they didn't want to under deliver to the backers when they ended up with more money.
They ended up overshooting their larger size scale though, and to be fair, I think at least $1 million went to kickstarter rewards and 2 Player Productions for the video documentary, as well.
I love the resurgence of old school developers retaking back old IPs. It's great to see some of these older game styles coming back into the modern era.
A Virus Named Tom shout out! Pretty fun little indie title, I was lucky enough to win a key from their Reddit giveaway, and it's a great little puzzle game. Fist Puncher looks rather fun for what it is, a nice retro throwback to the Double Dragon era with it's slightly off kilter humor.
Great podcast as always! It was fun to see Caro and Tom get talking about sexism in the industry, even if it was a subject that bordered on taking the podcast too off course. It's definitely a timely subject. It's great to hear what games were appealing to everyone (e.g. everything not par for the course), and just hear the general back and forth on the Xbox One debate. The quizzes are fun, but with so much news this week, this was a meaty podcast without them. Look forward to next!
While I seriously sympathize with the Wii U owners who were negatively affected by the delay, I am very happy that the game will be available on a console I actually own.
