Yea - agreed. Buying a new TV is disappointing. But as you said - it's "optional". If it was required then you should go on fighting. Though I guess when you look at it as "optional" and as a "huge move" then it's going somewhere. Also, you can't blame Sony that current technology doesn't let them perform 3D on existing HDTV's that have been out for a while now. They can't implement new hardware into a TV like that. True....just makes me wish that Cameron came out with Avatar 3 years earlier. :) With 3 HDTV's in the house right now, I can't justify paying more just to have 3D as an option.

He was ONLY respectful to Nintendo because he knows that the 3DS will put a nail in the coffin for the PSP. Like I said in a previous post, Sony only wants in right now because they know what little grasp they have on the handheld market will be demolished once the 3DS comes out. For crying out loud, there's already Snake Eater being redone in 3D on this new handheld gem from Nintendo. So much for the best MGS game to date staying exclusive to Sony's Playstation brand. :lol:

Did I say "final nail"? No. Did the SNES struggle once the PS came out? No. Now the N64 on the other hand was an odd move for Nintendo seeing how they knew what their competition was setting out to do (Sega and Sony). As a whole, the PSP doesn't touch the DS's sales worldwide and I can see all faithful DS owners jumping up to the 3DS without a doubt and a vast number of techies doing the same. I wouldn't even be surprised to see a nice chunk of the PSP crowd going with a 3DS as well seeing how the hardware was the obvious reason they went with the PSP.

While I may choose a different system to do the majority of my gaming on, it doesn't nullify the fact that I own a PS3, game on it frequently and enjoy the games I do have on it when I play them. My "Do you even have a PS3?" question wasn't me saying "Do you even have a PS3, haven't you played the best MGS game, aka MGS4." So I don't know why you even want to defend that game. Not really actually. Why not? If they've managed to create something this good in a short time then surely they can create something better with more effort. exactly....usually if something looks this good running on the hardware in such an early stage, more often then not, the final product is even better looking.
