The way I look at it is that there aren't enough games that I'm interested in to warrant purchasing a PS3. Now come next year, that will be a different story.

As for the holiday season, there are only two games that I want that I would need a PS3 for and that's Ratchet& Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. If you think about it, spending $500 (or $400 when they release the 40GB model) and two games that's roughly $550 to $650 including taxes. For that same price, I could buy GHIII w/Guitar, Rock Band Bundle and 5 to 8 games for the Xbox 360 or 11 to 13 Wii games or a combination of the two.

The problem is that Sony doesn't have enough exclusives coming out this holiday season that would necessitate anyone less thana hardcore gamer to purchase a PS3 IMHO.

What? You can't be serious. Everytimesomeone says something about about how a game has a great story, Half-Life 2 is almost always brought up.

How many people want to bet that EA is going to make more money than any publisher this Christmas. Here is a list of games (off the top of my head and in no particular order) that EA has published since July and are scheduled for release up until Christmas.

Granted we all know that Madden will sell more than any other game this year like previous years (how can it not, it was released for 9 platforms!). But their are some original IP's in there to be excited about like Skate, Crysis, Army of Two and (especially) Rock Band.

And just to keep some messages about who I work for from coming up; No, I don't work for EA! lol

I don't think the word you're looking for is unrated, as those 3 (well, at least Okami and BG&E) have gotten absolutely stellar ratings from the press. It's just that they haven't sold worth a damn. And btw, you might as well add Psychonauts to that list too.

Forgot about Psychonauts. What I meant by underrated is that the did not enjoy much success at retail.
