Sorry for all of the questions, but I have a couple more. :P Okay, so I worked with the settings in that Youtube video but changed things up a bit. I then used Intel Burn Test 10 times and had success. My max CPU core temp was 53C. How many more times should I run Intel Burn Test before I can assume that everything is stable? I was told the Burn Test worked just as good as Prime95 but quicker, so I'd rather use that.SoraX64

just use prime it then use linpack.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. :D

I really think that we should be able to reach 4.0Ghz. Cant wait to try this and run 3dmark 11 again! Specially after Ocing my GPUs.

i actually think you guys can but anything over 4.0ghz needs watercooling though...

[QUOTE="millerlight89"] If you move your PC from place to place I can understand the upgrade. I would look into a modular PSU though. BluRayHiDef

^i agree with this but for me to even attempt to do cable management on that case i would need to cut areas out to even begin running cables, but then again thats just me. :)

My friend, this case is so small that there aren't any places where you can cut out holes! Also, the space between the back of the case and the rear-panel is too small for cables to fit into.

well get yourself a modular psu and cut the area's you need :) i'm keeping my haf lol, but neways if u dn't want to u dnt have the i think you would have been better off with a haf scout or sniper, but if the case fits you well mate then cheers :D

Waste of money imo. I mean you already had an excellent case, minus its looks. I do hope you work on those cables though.

This case is tight. There's not much I can do with the cables. This case needs a modular PSU for optimal cable management. Anyhow, I think it was worth the money. It's 20 pounds lighter (half as heavy) and is easy for me to carry from one place to the other.

Ah, good. I was planning to OC as I got my last Core 2 Quad from 2.66Ghz to 3.4Ghz on air. Hopefully I can get similar results.

Guster730

your i7 950 should hit 3.4ghz on air easily might not even need a voltage increase.

just do blend test with prime95 so u can see what your rounding errors will be its most likely sounds like you need more voltage for your clock once you get it prime stable move on to linpack.

if u crank up your volts to 1.4 and its still not stable might need to fiddle with NB and SB volts a bit :p

The Phenom chips run on pretty high voltages, you can definitely push higher if you temps are safe

For instance my x4 965 @ 4.0ghz takes 1.475 which is perfectly safe (best to stay below 1.5) and stays below 50oC Prime95

04dcarraher

1.475 on Air?

Well mine at 1.378 maxes out a 41C

guess the new phenoms like high voltage.
