I only just got my Xbox360 recently. The first game I played on it was Mass Effect and it was the first next gen game I'd actually played, that's what we call jumping in at the deep end, the graphics floored me.
I'd never ditch my girlfriend to do anything. I suppose I am lucky though in the fact that she likes to play games with me anyway. Actually come to think of it I think she's far more likely to ditch ME to play games rather than the other way around.
I just got PDZ for $25 new and the collector's edition just because I liked the original. I've only played through on co-op once and done a deathmatch but it wasn't too bad, not to say I'd pay more than I did for it though. The story was kinda... stupid, for lack of a better word but I do love the gameplay.

Well I'm english so I really don't know either, my cousin mentioned it to me though, it's supposed to be some sort of big sales day and you were able to find games at really cheap prices.
I might give it a rent, just cause I've grown up with the Duke, it was an okay trailer, really liked the music but I almost feel the graphics were a tad lacking. Compared to more story driven games nowadays though I can't imagine Duke Nukem is gonna carry much weight, it's really coming too late.

Oh yes I'd heard about the falcon chips, I wasn't actually aware they were putting them in already, I thought it was something they were still working on. If they are in I'll definitely look out for that, thanks a lot.
I'd also agree with those game choices, I already own Oblivion for the PC though, great game. I'm getting Mass Effect with it and my cousin's giving me one of the multiplayer games mentioned for my birthday this week. I told her I really didn't mind which one, they all look so good I can't choose.
Neon if you intend playing games online you will need gold I think, I will get my 360 at xmas and if i didnt get gold subscription with it I will get it, cause no point getting on live without playing.

Yeah you're right, you do need gold to play games online but actually what I'm most looking forward to about live is the DLC. I'll be getting Mass Effect and either Halo 3, CoD4 or Gears of War so it doesn't really warrent spending money on gold just yet. At some point though when my collection of multiplayer games is a bit larger.
Y'know, after the urge passes to hold the guy's heads under dirty toilet water until all the stupid is drowned out of them I kind of feel sorry for them, afterall they're clearly more interested in company politics than they are in games and that's really a shame.
