Oh man I can only imagine the horrors I would have to endure looking for a Wii (Oh that could so be quoted out of context).

Anyway I like the Wii but it's just not quite special enough to go through all that trouble, I'm waiting till the mad rush has died down to even think about getting one. I dunno why though, I've really been rabid about getting a 360 lately, probably cause I have no consoles at the moment, my large collection of games is safely out of my reach across an ocean. Anyway I'll be very upset if I can't get my hands on one, but yeah, it could be much worse, I feel sorry for those with their heart set on a Wii.

I've gotta say actually, after reading more of the reviews it seems almost like they're being paid to write like that (I'm sure they aren't, nobody in their right mind would pay for this kind of press). It's in the way that they not only bash games on other consoles, but also say how they could be made better thanks to the PS3's various features which I often manage to forget about because they're way too technical (mostly in the review of Bioshock).

Yeah definitely can't be doing without live, I'm probably gonna get a gold subscription at some point but I'll definitely be at least getting the silver level.

Let me give you one piece of advice.. I wouldn't use the cooling systems you can buy.. If you can find a custom set up, i'd go with it, other wise just make sure you have an airflow going.--Quadkillz--

This was one of my major concerns because there's people on both sides of the argument praising coolers as wonderful gifts from the heavens and the others saying that they'll kill your xbox faster than putting it in an oven. It's all very confusing.

So my mind's been made up for awhile now, I've been wanting the 360 for about a year (I've been a former PS2 owner), I'm hoping that I'll be able to get it sometime this week and I'm praying that some local store somewhere still has an elite model in stock with my name on it.

Anyway, one can't wander the internets nowadays without seeing all the news about 360s starting off as a wonderful magical adventure and then going down the toilet. If I'm gonna do this I want to do it right, so really I'm wondering what kind of accessories and wonderful other things I need to consider getting in order to get the most out of my new xbox and to basically prolong what is likely to be a very hard life for the thing (I like to game until the console's ready to explode, very very bad habit I know and one I intend to kick with this console).

Also if you happen to know where I'm most likely to find that highly sought after elite model I'd really appreciate that too. Thanks all!

Epic has stated in an interview that GeOW is published by microsoft. But with Ut3 going to ps3 first they are sort of favoring the ps3 right now. I think the publishing contract is the only thing keeping it exclusive. But if epic were to pull a fast one on microsoft and for the next game they can change its name, lets say Locus Hoard or something along those lines then its a loophole in the contract and they would be allowed to make it multiplat.
