I just built the first gaming PC I've owned since the 90s a few months ago. I did it because I'm underwhelmed by the performance of the new gen consoles.
Seems I'm not the only one with that same train of thought.
The biggest problem I've had making the switch to PC from consoles is the general lack of support publishers/devs give PC ports. Hopefully that will change with this boost in PC gamers.
It doesn't have to be Fallout. I'd be pleased as punch with a brand new open world IP from Bethesda. I honestly don't want to see them become just a company that cranks out Elder Scrolls and Fallout every two years like a factory line. *cough*assassinscreed*cough*
Now that I think about it. Most of the people I know who would never classify themselves as "gamers" play free/mobile games on a daily basis. That's crazy.
