It's funny really cuz it's the parents who buy the games for the kids and don't even check what kind of games their kids are playing cuz they leave it to Uncle TV and Step Father Xbox to look after their little brat of a child.
The WII U does have good games that are also mature but a majority of them are just ports with the downloadable content.
But why would I want Batman on the WII U when I got the Game of the Year edition from Steam for a fiver? Or Mass Effect 3 when I can get it cheap on PC?
Sure, they've got more on the way like Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Reason why I wanted a WII U) and Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, etc and hopefully more on the way but when you find yourself buying WII games and even going as far as to hunt for rarer titles like Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles for a newer console you know something's wrong.
Though I can't complain, I've been playing some great WII games that I missed out on.
ZombiU is WII U exclusive but it's kinda hit and miss with me. It can be fun but technical issues really do take away from the experience greatly.
Though I don't regret getting a WII U as I do have fun with the games I have, I'm really hoping they do step it up and bring out some excellent games.
Kinda wouldn't want something that was meant to be a B-day/Christmas present to go to waste.
